Stadia Pro subscribers will be able to play Rise of the Tomb Raider for free: 20 Year Celebration and in Thumper from 1 January 2020. As a reminder, these free games are only available to Stadia Pro subscribers, who in exchange for €9.99 per month, give you several advantages such as the possibility to play in 4K among others. For this January 2020 vintage, Google is therefore offering two new titles to its premium customers.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the direct sequel to Tomb Raider, a reboot of the adventures of Lara Croft released in 2013. Considered the best opus of the trilogy, this episode will take you to the four corners of the world from Syria to Tibet in search of a mysterious ancestral spring that is supposed to provide immortality and cure all the ills of humanity.
The game is much darker and more violent than the previous one and is reserved for an adult audience. The 20 Year Celebration version gives you access to all the DLCs released so far in, including the Baba Yaga: Witch Templeexpansion, 2 outfits, 5 skins, 7 new weapons, a survival mode and Frosty Awakening, which will allow you to face zombies in the famous Croftmansion.

Thumper on the other hand is a rather atypical game, as it mixes rhythm, action and speed. You play as a small beetle with a high vitamin content who will have to follow a long straight line to reach the end of the level. Of course, obstacles will stand in your way, and you will have to be reflexive not to be destroyed. If the first levels go smoothly, the rest of the game will test your nerves, and extraordinary dexterity will be welcome in some situations.
If you are a Stadia Pro subscriber, you will be able to get both titles back as of January 1, 2020. Google is taking this opportunity to announce that Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, which was part of the December free games, will no longer be available for free from December 31st. For the moment, that makes 5 free games (6 for now) available to Stadia Pro subscribers among Destiny 2, Farming Simulator, Samuraï Shodown, and the two titles presented above. Is it enough to motivate a subscription? You tell us.
