Sony Goes Through A Strategy Change; Uncharted 4 Is Heading To PC

Sony has changed its business strategy in favor of a more mobile-friendly approach, and one of the first games to benefit from the new strategy is Uncharted 4. Fans of the series have been clamoring for an Uncharted 4 release on PC, and now it appears that their wishes are being answered: the PC version of the game is set to launch shortly after the PlayStation 4 version. (This is not a guarantee however, as the game’s developers have not stated anything definitive about the PC version of the game).

Sony has made headlines recently with their announcement that the PlayStation 4 version of Uncharted 4 will be heading to the PC, after previously being only available on PS4. While this is great news for PC gamers (or at least the type that owns Uncharted 4), it is a sad time for console gamers everywhere: PS4 gamers will only be receiving the “full” Uncharted 4 experience with exclusive features such as the Photo Mode, multiple control schemes, and the collection of alternate costumes.

Sony was once a name synonymous with video game hardware. Its PlayStation brand was the undisputed champion of the gaming console market, while the likes of DualShock and PlayStation Move are household names to many gamers. However, recent reports suggest Sony is going through a strategy change that might see it leave the console market after the PlayStation 4 generation.
