I’m always amazed at how much field work gets done during the long summer months. We get so much done, and all of it goes unnoticed. There are usually so many things that we can do and see that we just don’t take the time to notice.
One of the primary activities of Memorial Day is to honor those who have served our country, and to offer a moment of reflection to honor those who have died in the line of duty. A number of events are planned around the entire county over the weekend, including the American Legion Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post, American Legion Post and more.

This year Honor Flight would like to show their appreciation and support to partners affected by COVID-19 and other issues. That’s why they don’t do fundraising locally, but hold a Vino for Vets raffle. Honor Flight has assembled the wine into five six-pack collections and is distributing them for $25. There are only 150 entries for a chance to win one of the six packages. Entries may be paid by check or credit card purchase information and entry forms are available on Honor Flight’s website, honorflightccc.org/vinoforvets.
