Conclusion
:
If you’re a fan of the show, then it’s probably no secret that Season 3 didn’t quite live up to our expectations. But if you’re willing to overlook some of the weaker moments and take into account what was accomplished, there’s still plenty of good material here.
The biggest takeaway from this season is that The Boys continue to be one of the most compelling and entertaining crime dramas on television. Even though individual episodes can feel a little uneven at times, as a whole the season manages to keep your attention thanks to its well-paced storytelling and well-executed action sequences.
As for the cast, everyone does a fantastic job in their respective roles. It’s especially impressive how well everyone meshes together given their different backgrounds and personalities. In particular, Hugh Dancy continues to prove himself as one of the best actors working in TV today with his portrayal of Richard Strathairn’s character Neil Maskell. And while John Noble may not have had much screen time this season (due mostly to scheduling conflicts), his presence is always felt due to his unique acting style and ability to convey complex emotions with just a few lines.
So all in all, The Boys Season 3 wasn’t perfect by any means but there are still plenty of reasons why fans should check it out when it becomes available on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
