  • Some illogical scenes

Presentation La Dame En Noir 2 : The Angel of Death

The Queen in Black returns in a second opus entitled The Angel of Death. In theatres from January 14, 2015, this horror film is directed by Tom Harper and has cast actors such as Helen McCrory, Jeremy Irvine and Phoebe Fox. We can already deplore the absence of Daniel Radcliffe who played the major role in the first film. Let us hope that the second part of The Lady in Black does not suffer too much from this absence.

Three years after the release of La Dame en Noir, the second film takes place 40 years later. We find a teacher who goes with her students and the school principal to the abandoned village of Crythin Gifford. What a great idea for a school outing! How about a cemetery next time? The group’s going to meet in a house in the middle of a swamp. An ideal setting where horrific events will of course take place. And it’s not going to fail because the teacher and the children will find themselves in the middle of a real nightmare, unfortunately a very real one. Indeed, the presence of these strangers in the swamp will awaken an evil and demonic force. Let’s hope this sequel is as scary…

Three years after the release of La Dame en Noir, the second film takes place 40 years later. We find a teacher who goes with her students and the headmistress of the school to the abandoned village of Crythin Gifford. Let’s hope this sequel is as scary as the first movie that startled us. As a reminder, The Lady in Black remains today the most profitable British horror film of all time, with revenues of $130 million.

Note that The Queen in Black 2: The Angel of Death is adapted from the book The Woman in Black: Angel Of Death by Susan Hill. The author finished writing the book only a few days before shooting began.

If you wish to visit the filming location, head to Nocton Hall in Lincolnshire to see the former military hospital that served as the film set.

I don’t agree with the rating and the critics, the film is very well directed and precisely the effect of considering jump scare allows to create a pressure or stress for the spectator… compared to the script, I agree that it is not very thoughtful but well when we go to see this style of film it’s more to be afraid than for the scenario? no?
