The Baltimore Ravens lost to Marshal Yanda in the off-season to announce their resignation, and there was a good reason for that. The striker only wanted to reach the top after a great career.

Recently Yanda attended the Pat McAfee Show to discuss the release and give an idea of why he did it when everything was said and done a few months ago.

I didn’t want to risk another injury for a year. I couldn’t do it. This detox is a stressful life.

Yanda said:

It was a 2017 accumulation, I broke my ankle and had shoulder surgery in the same year. I underwent two off-season operations in 2017, after which I knew I had been warned, Yanda said. At the beginning of the 2018 season, if I was injured, I would resign. Or even last year, I was about to retire. For the last two years I was mentally prepared to retire if I got hurt again. I hate to go too far, but that was great. It was awesome. I had to play when I was 18 and 19, start every game, play healthily and finish it well. When I came in the 19th, I took it as it is and I didn’t want to risk another injury.

Then McAfee wondered how difficult it would be to escape Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who seemed to be planning to do some damage. Yanda confessed that it was a rather difficult decision, but it was taken by her body because he didn’t want to deal with rehabilitation anymore.

I understand, believe me, it was one of my best years, the most fun in the normal seasonal atmosphere, he said. But in the end, I had 13 seasons, 8 body surgeries. I was exhausted and I didn’t want to risk another year for an injury.

Of course, fans must respect Yanda who puts her personal health above all else.

Marshal Yanda announces retirement from NFL.

According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, a few months before the free agency, Yanda decided to cling to the peaks after the 2019 season. Initially he discussed whether or not to come back, but it is true that Yanda wants to leave after last season.

Of course, the defender will have to concede a solid goal for the team and now the Ravens’ biggest goal will be to know what to do with the gaping hole at the front. It’s hard to calculate what Yanda meant to the team, knowing that her 13-year career never took her anywhere but Baltimore.

Yanda, 35 years old, reached the third stage of the 2007 Iowa design and has been an eight-time Pro Cup player, two-time first-team all-pro and five-time second-team all-pro. He started in 166 NFL games, played 177 and won the XLVIII Super Cup. It is clear that his CV could one day lead to a consolidation in the Hall of Fame, given what he was capable of.

Now Yanda is moving on with a life outside of football. It’s obvious it’s already started.

How the Crows will replace Marshal Yanda

The team managed to do a number of things to explain Yanda’s loss in advance. They first signed a contract with Seattle Seahawks forward D.J. Fluker. Earlier, they had included Michigan’s Ben Bradeson in NFL plans to advance the chip. Of course, this couple will be part of the plan to explain Yanda’s loss this season.

It’s not fair to think that Yanda can do what she could do on the field, but in the long run the hope is that the duo will help him explain that he has decided to leave.
