The Xiaomi Mi Box S is an improvement of the old model. The case is still in black tones, but its design is still changing a bit, especially with the manufacturer’s logo that is now placed right in the middle. Another noteworthy fact is that it is slightly thicker, due to a revised data sheet.
To boost overall performance, this new version of the Mi Box incorporates an Amlogic S905X chip that includes a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 processor and a 750 MHz Mali 450 graphics chip – all backed by 2GB of RAM. While it can run a few 3D games from the Play Store this configuration provides compatibility with many video formats, including 4K at 60 frames per second.
