Put Your Metal to the Test at a Public Event
Thank you to everyone who participated in the public playtesting of “Test Your Metal”! We’re continuing working on Test Your Metal, which will be released in a patch after the Invaders from Beyond Update. We’ve gotten a lot of criticism and problem complaints about this event, so we’ve removed Test Your Metal from this version of the PTS with today’s patch. We’re going to talk about everything you’ve said so far, and we’ll keep improving Test Your Metal before it goes back to the Test Server for our next Fallout 76 release.
Today’s PTS Update includes improvements and fixes.
-
C.A.M.P. : When objects are put on top of certain dressers and tables, they no longer sink.
-
Challenges: The subchallenge “Pass the Buck” has been deleted from the “Complete Different Daily Quests” World Challenge’s list of subchallenges.
-
Daily and Weekly Challenges that need the “Well Fed” Hunger effect now advance properly regardless of whether the player is “Well Fed” or “Fully Fed.”
-
Displays: A warning popup now shows when scrapping or storing Display Cases and Mannequins, informing the player that any objects allocated to that Display or Mannequin will be unassigned.
-
While the “Relaxed Building Restrictions” feature is enabled, C.A.M.P. items may snap to the ground under a Foundation rather than the Foundation itself.
-
Invaders from Beyond: To optimize event performance, the number of monsters that may spawn at once during Invaders from Beyond has been reduced. To compensate for this change, enemy spawn rates were slightly boosted.
-
Items: For Alien Disintegrators with the Automatic Receiver upgrade, the magazine capacity has been raised from 25 to 40 rounds.
-
Items: Instead of randomly hurting opponent limbs, the Alien Blaster now appropriately delivers condition damage to them.
-
Items: Popcorn from the Popcorn Machine now decreases Hunger and Thirst increases by 25%.
-
When the Backpack Visibility option is switched off, Jetpacks that take up the Backpack slot will no longer become invisible.
-
User Interface: A bug was fixed that caused quest goals to show erroneous text, not appear, or update incorrectly.
-
User Interface: After Fast Traveling, player locations on the map now update appropriately.
-
After choosing a Public Event on the Map, a bug in the user interface prevented the list of possible awards from showing appropriately.
-
When setting the crosshairs on a floating quest target, the quest goal text now shows appropriately.
