We follow the story of 5 boys who enter Hachimitsu high school which welcomes men for the first time in its history. As you will have understood, the 5 boys: Kiyoshi Fujino, Takehito Morokuzu, Shingo Wakamoto, Jōji Nezu, Reiji Andō are alone in the middle of this school full of girls (about 1 boy for every 200 girls). However, not everything is going as planned. Student council is spreading the word so that no one talks to them. After their failures to address girls, they will decide to do a spying session in the girls’ showers, but everything will go wrong and they will be surprised by the student council and will be sent to prison for 1 month (in the school compound). Isolated from other students, they will have to work in isolation to avoid being expelled. However, as you can imagine, it is not in everyone’s mind to stay in this prison and many comical (and sensual) situations related to their imprisonment will follow.
First of all, I would like to make it clear that Ecchi are not too much my cup of tea in general, but I was tempted to take a look at them to see if they were really worth it after seeing some rather funny extracts.
So I give you my verdict: let’s start from the beginning (it’s better all the same!). I must say that I was very surprised by the design, it’s one of the first things that jumped out at me. I was expecting something rather classical, even sloppy, but not at all: as much as the environments are classical, but the chara design is rather advanced I found, which immediately made me want to continue. I then focused a little more on the story which starts with huge shots, but that’s to be expected, and then the Ecchi scenes start with all the misunderstandings that go with it and the comic situation and that’s where I really got attached to the story, because despite the fact that everything is more or less predictable, the shots are very well brought. But the big strong point of this anime for me are really the male characters (ALL). They are really well integrated into the story and each one has its own character and above all they surprised me. Then there is one of my favorite characters in this manga which is the director who is really very important for the place of humor in the story. A little word on the end before concluding, she goes completely out of control, I think my brain has disconnected at times, but I have rarely laughed so much with an anime.
So you will have understood that it is not an anime that flies high, but I really had fun watching it and I think that’s its main goal so I would give it a 14/20.
