Pokémon Sword & Shield Sell More Than 6 Million Copies –

we reported that Pokémon Sword & Shield was the best-selling Switch game in Japan. We also regret that we may have to wait until the next quarterly results for more details. Although we have noticed that sometimes Nintendo puts out a Press Release – and that’s exactly what they did!

It turns out that in just three days (Friday – Sunday), more than 6 million copies of the new Pokémon games were sold worldwide. Digging a little deeper, we know that 2 million copies were sold in the United States alone in the first two days, and according to Famitsu, about 1,365,544 copies were sold in Japan over the weekend. Of course, this last figure does not take into account digital sales in the online shop, so others were also sold in this way. We don’t know the exact figures for Europe, but if you count physical and digital sales in all territories, it would be 6 million in the north. Pokémon Sword & Shield is the most impressive Pokémon game ever released in the United States It should be noted that the number of 6 million customers has been exhausted, and not just the extra stock on store shelves.
