Pokemon Go’s Valentine’s Day Event Starts Today

begins the annual celebration of Valentine’s Day. This new event adds two new Pokémon to the game, as well as a new collection challenge and the ability to catch different Pokémon pairs. The main attraction of the event is the opportunity to catch Munna, a new type of Pokemon Go, in the wild for the first time. Players can also use the Unova Stone to turn Musharna into Musharna. The event also unexpectedly announces a major version of Alomol and gives players some temporary bonuses. After celebrating Valentine’s Day, players can look forward to the paid Pokemon Go : Kanto event and free Kanto celebration featuring the original Pokemon 151.

Valentine’s Day – Dates and times

Valentine’s Day starts at 2:00 pm. February at 1:00 pm local time until 6:00 pm. February at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Valentine’s Day Event – Selected Pokémon

The event includes races that will be completed with the following Pokémon: Nidoran (F), Nidoran (M), Plusle, Minun, Wolbeat, Illumis, Luvdisk and Munna. Additionally, Fibs will appear as a rare Pokémon species.

Evie, Cleffa, Igglibuf, Togepi, Luvdisk, Munna, Wubat, and Cotton will hatch 5 KM eggs that they will receive during the contest.

Valentine’s Day – Shiny Alomola

Pokemon Go also unexpectedly added a brilliant version of Alomomola to the game as part of the event. Players can fight Alomomola in 3-star raids or by completing the Catch 20 Luvdisc or Win 2 Raids field research missions.

Valentine’s Day – Community on the move

Any Kirlia that evolves during the event becomes either a Gardevoir or a Gallada that knows Synchronuaz. Moveet Synchronoise is especially effective against Battle Pokémon, while Gallade’s Moveet Synchronoise is useful for countering certain Poison-type Pokémon. Previously, this toll change was only available on Community Day 2019.

Valentine’s day – Collection challenge

Players must purchase Nidoran (F), Nidoran (M), Spy, Umbrella, Plesle, Minun, Wolbeat, Illuminis, Luvdisk, Latias, Latios and Alomola to participate in the gathering tournament. The four Pokémon – Espeon, Umbreon, Latias and Latios – can only be caught after raids. Moreover, Alomola is only found during raids or after fieldwork. To help players complete this task, Pokemon Go is giving players three Remote Raid Passes in the in-game shop.

At the end of the challenge, players are rewarded with five silver Pinup Eggs, a lucky egg and a hatchery.

Valentine’s Day – Raid Pokémon

The Latios and Latias event will feature 5 star Pokemon raids. Additionally, Mega Raids will include Mega Pidgeot, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Ampharos. Ralts, Wolbeat, Illumise, Fiba, Munna and Espurr will appear in the 1-star raids, while Togetik, Spy, Umbrella, Gardevoir, Gallada and Alomola will appear in the 3-star raids.

Valentine’s Day – other premiums

During the event, players will have more chances to become Lucky Friends with their friends, and Pokémon sellers will have more chances to become Lucky Pokémon. The exchange distance has been increased to 40 km and players have a better chance of getting gift berries.
