Bjour,

Since 3 days I can no longer write or read emails sent on my Orange msgerie from Outlook as I have been doing for several months now.

The error msg indicates that Outlook cannot connect to the outgoing mail server (SMTP).

the config parameters are
o Server Incoming IMAP = 143
o Server Outgoing SMTP = 25

The Office version I have is 15.0.4605.1003 and I have not (yet) found any similar problem known.

I searched on different sites as well as on yours but I didn’t find a problem close to mine to get out of it with the proposed solution.

Could you help me, please?

Hello, I don’t know what F.A.I. means…? Maybe my screen name? If so, it’s Observatory.

In the meantime a colleague helped me and solved my problem but I had to re-install everything because I had recovered several viruses because the pb degraded. I had e.g. pop-up windows that opened under IE to offer me all kinds of offers, games, newspaper subscriptions, daring videos and so on. Never had that, but the bp’s resolved.

Try enabling a security in the server connection settings S.M.T.P. .
You’ll probably have to change the port.

my outgoing server was the right smtp.orange.fr it still doesn’t work 🙁

Are you well connected through a box?
Can you send an email from the webmail of Orange ?

yes I have a box and yes I can send mails directly by Orange I can also send some with my husband’s pimp it’s only on my pc that it doesn’t work …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Yes, you just have to use the built-in firewall. I don’t think you’ve ever stuck your hands in there.
Can you install Thunderbird and configure your account with (in I.M.A.P. , so you won’t lose anything)? We’ll see if it works with any other software.

I may be coming like a hair on the soup, but it seems that the SMTP port for Orange is: 465 and not 25 ???.
