Orico ANS6 – DAGeeks.com

Orico ANS6 is a DAG-enabled, ultra-portable gaming PC that comes with a variety of features. It has a 4K UHD screen and up to 3D surround sound.

Some of us have been working from home for almost two years due to the epidemic. If you find that using a laptop for long periods of time is inconvenient, consider switching to a desktop arrangement. Yes, you may connect your laptop to a USB keyboard and mouse as well as an external display. However, you’ll discover that connecting and disconnecting peripherals every time you need to move becomes inconvenient over time. Work-from-home arrangements have boosted the popularity of laptop docks lately. It offers customers the convenience of a desktop configuration while restoring laptop mobility by requiring just one wire to connect all of your devices from your desk. It’s as simple as putting in one USB-C cable to go from laptop to desktop mode. My employer has provided me with a Lenovo ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock. It’s extremely handy since it’s used by both my wife and myself, and we can simply move between devices for work. Meanwhile, our friends at Laptop Sensei gave us the Orico ANS6 for evaluation, and we have some thoughts on it.

The Orico ANS6 is constructed of aluminum alloy and has a Macbook-like appearance. It functions as a vertical laptop stand, with all ports located on the rear for a clutter-free workspace. The dock is well-made and very heavy considering its size. You may be certain that it will keep your laptop safe in the upright position. In my instance, it kept a heavy ROG Strix laptop safe.

It features a rubber base that runs the length of the dock to keep it from sliding around on your desk. The docking station is adjustable and includes rubber linings to protect your laptop from scratches. The Orico ANS6 can accommodate laptops with a thickness of up to 28mm.

From left to right, you’ll find a DC 12V port, a gigabit LAN port, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a headset in, mic in, an HDMI port with up to 4K resolution, a Type-C in, and a Type-C PD port. A USB Type C cable, as well as a handbook and warranty card, are included in the package. Orico should definitely include an HDMI cable with it.

It’s a pretty simple piece of equipment. Connect your laptop to the dock by plugging your peripherals into the dock and using the supplied USB Type-C connection. Because you can’t simply purchase any Type-C cable on the market when dealing with devices that utilize USB Type-C it’s critical that you take excellent care of the supplied USB Type-C cable. The monitor output wasn’t functioning until he utilized the supplied USB Type-C from Orico, according to a buddy who has the identical dock. Something to think about.

Because it includes a USB Type-C PD connection, the dock may be used without an outlet. Although a powerbank may be used to power the dock, the company advises using the DC 12V adaptor to guarantee that all ports are fully functioning.

It’s also worth noting that this port can only handle one display output. If you have a twin monitor configuration, you may need to connect the second monitor to the laptop directly. It’s not a huge issue, but a cable that isn’t attached at the rear of the dock detracts from the appearance. Also, if your laptop has a USB-C port on the rear, such as an ASUS ROG STRIX check sure the dock isn’t blocking any air vents.

The Orico ANS6 is a fantastic purchase if you’re seeking for a simple way to convert your laptop to a desktop with just one connection. It has all of the connectors you’ll need to connect your essential peripherals, such as your keyboard and mouse, monitor, and headset.

The manufacturer claims that the Orico ANS6’s HDMI connection supports 4K display output, but I didn’t have a 4K monitor on hand at the time of review, so I’m not sure whether it does.

The anodized aluminum shell is a great fit for a Macbook and blends in smoothly at your workplace, which is especially important if you’re using an Apple environment. Check the thickness of your laptop first, since this can only fit up to 28mm at its thickest point.

The Orico ANS6 costs 3,000 yen through Laptop Sensei’s official shops. Please see the link below for further information.
