Ohtani Hits Milestone 32nd Homer, Angels Edge Red Sox 5-4 –

Fletcher’s hitting streak is the longest in the AL this season and matches Cincinnati’s Nick Castellanos’ 21-game streak – the longest in the majors in 2021.

The series is also the longest for the Angels since Garrett Anderson threw 23 consecutive games in 2008. Anderson also has the longest hitting streak in Halos history with 28 games in 1998.

Fletcher’s streak of seven consecutive at-bats ended with one out in the fourth.


Red Sox: RHP Tanner Hawk could return to Boston’s rotation after the All-Star break to give the starters much-needed rest. Hawk has not played in the majors since early May due to a right shoulder injury, but he is now making rehab starts for Triple-A Worcester.
