NT1 and HD1 become TFX and TF1 Film Series respectively. For the first channel mentioned, the change of name, logo and packaging takes place on 30 January 2018 at 9pm. For the second one, the modification has already been made on 29 January 2018, also at 9pm. The visual identity of these channels is not the only one to evolve as new content will also appear.
NT1 will change its name and visual identity on January 30, 2018 at 9pm for to become TFX, the new channel of the TF1 group. This is not a banal change of name, logo and packaging, but also a change of editorial line with new content. The channel targets a young audience and will offer blockbusters such as Fast and Furious 7 or Spider-Man and reality shows on its airwaves. There will be animators such as Karine Ferri and Christophe Beaugrand.
TFX and TF1 Film Series replace NT1 and HD1
HD1 has been renamed TF1 Séries Films on January 29, 2018 at 9pm, five years after its appearance on our screens. For the occasion, the first episode of the French series Guépardes aired at 8:55 pm. Produced by Bangumi (Quotidien, on TMC), it offers every day a short 5-minute episode telling the daily life of 4 women managers in the music industry who are under the orders of a sexist boss. With 337,000 people for 1.7% of PDAs, Guépardes has made a good start.
Marseille, the Netflix series will also be broadcast on the channel. TF1 Séries Films is also banking on foreign dramas with The handmaid’s tale: the scarlet maid, awarded several Golden Globes You will also find Training day, The Walking Dead or 22.11.63. Probably less expected, there will also be reruns of TF1 series such as Section de recherches and Alice Nevers.
On the feature film side, the new channel started with Fury, which attracted 865,000 viewers. Films such as The Grand Budapest Hotel or Argo are also in the catalogue. With the complete overhaul of France Télévisions’ channel packaging on January 29, 2018, the PAF is also being shaken up at the beginning of the year.
