Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video…In 2019, many Internet users watched series in streaming. Not surprisingly, the Netflix series has been the most popular. According to the data collected by the TV Time application, the shows of the VOD service represent 19 of the 20 most watched series in streaming last year.

TV Time, the application that makes it easy to organize all the series and movies you want to watch, regularly publishes the data collected from its users. As reported by our colleagues at BGR, TV Time has just put online the list of the 20 most watched series in streaming over the past year.

Netflix produced 19 of the 20 most-watched series in 2019
The series in the Netflix catalogue dominate the rankings by far. This was already the case in last November’s TV Time ranking. There is only one series not produced by Netflix : The Handmaid’s Tale – The Scarlet Maid, in sixth position. Produced by Hulu, the series already has three seasons and tells the story of a dystopian world ruled by a religious sect. A fourth season is expected in the summer of 2020.

Note that most of the Netflix series on the list have already been renewed for new seasons. These include Lucifer, Elite, Dark, La Casa de Papel Sabrina, Umbrella Academy Dark or Atypical. A new season of these series is planned for this year. More recently, the streaming service also confirmed the return of You for a third season. Have you looked at the series on the list?
