Meek Mill Faces Backlash Over Disrespectful Kobe Bryant Lyric

The legend of the late Kobe Bryant Lakers.

Rapper Meek Mill is under fire on Social Media after leaking Coby Bryan-esque lyrics from an upcoming track.

Meek Mill’s phrase is the definition of “too soon,” whatever the intent behind the reference to the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

Just over a year ago, Bryant was involved in a tragic helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and six others who were on their way to his sports academy in Mamba. The incident stunned not only the Lakers organization and the NBA, but the entire world.

Meek Mill’s sentence is both disrespectful and insensitive, with no concession behind it.

I always say she does, but she’s never shown it to me.

Yes, and if I’m ever out, it will be with my helicopter, so it will be another Kobe.

Criticism of Meek Mill grew quickly after the clip surfaced on the Internet.

“I don’t know when I’ll be ready to hear a song that mentions Kobe, but I know it’s not now, and I know Meek Mill just dropped that line,” tweeted Michael Lee of the Washington Post. “Give the man a longer RIP and the next guy who wants to try it on will work a little harder to make your bar not so disrespectful.”

I don’t know when I will be ready to hear a song that mentions Kobe, but I know now is not the time, and I know Meek Mill just released this song. Give the man a longer RIP, and the next one who wants to try it, work a little harder to make your bar not so disrespectful.

Not everyone was upset by the text, including former NBA player who is now TNT analyst Kenny Smith.

“I’m a fan of Meek Mill, I know he’s a big basketball fan, a big fan of Kobe. No matter what he says, I will always give Meek the pass,” Smith told TMZ. “I always give Mick the benefit of the doubt. He’s had a pretty long and positive track record over the past year.”

Mick’s mill is charged with criticizing Kobe Bryant.

Meek Mill’s reaction to the social media situation did not help his cause, saying that people were “mind-controlled” in their criticism.

If someone promotes the story and…. you make a joke on the internet, it won’t stop me….Lol

– Meek Mill (@MeekMill) February 18, 2021

“Someone is promoting the story and you all are following it. All the internet idiots can’t stop me. “Like Zombieland or something!” – he wrote, followed by another tweet.

They are now paying to influence….it is almost as if mind control is “waking up” 🙃.

– Meek Mill (@MeekMill) February 18, 2021

“Now they pay to influence you. It’s like brainwashing. “Wake up.”

He tried to limit the damage by posting a picture of a hat on Instagram with the text “RIP Kobe & Gigi.”

Meek Mill is from Philadelphia, Bryant’s hometown, and mourns with the rest of the world the death of the Laker legend.

“Kobe, this can’t be real,” he tweeted.

😢😢😢😢😢😢 Kobe, that can’t be true !!!!

The Lakers are still reeling from the death of Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers won the NBA championship last season thanks to the energy they put into Bryant and a grieving Laker nation.

It was more like, ‘Let’s do it for him,’” said Lakers forward Anthony Davis “That’s what we all did last year. Even when we play now, we always remember that we’re playing for Kobe and his family and helping the city of Los Angeles The win brought a lot of joy to our city, because all year the tragedy made our hearts heavy.

Lakers superstar LeBron James recently told USA Today that he still finds it difficult to accept the death of Bryant, a man who was his friend and mentor.

“I’m not trying to get into that head again,” said Lakers forward LeBron James “It was too dark, not just for me, but for our organization and everyone involved.”
