Returning for its sophomore year, the iGB Live! looks set to be one of the highlights once again on the iGaming industry’s calendar this summer. Also returning to 2018’s host city of Amsterdam, this year’s edition will run from July 16–19th and promises to be four days of “networking, innovation, learning and fun,” as it welcomes professionals, speakers and exhibitors from across a variety of verticals, including real money gaming, affiliate marketing and sports betting.
Within a relatively short amount of time, the iGaming industry has grown to become one of the most technologically advanced and profitable industries in the world. With a diverse array of games, apps and technologies already available within each vertical, from classic jackpot slots games offering free spins to virtual reality poker, it will be interesting to see what new developments will showcase in this year’s iGB Live! event.
The 2019 edition of the event will look to build on the success of its debut with expanded conferences, talks and bigger sponsors. It’s also free to register and attend the main exhibition. Visit the iGB Live! sign-up page for more information.
In the meantime, here are a few highlights of what to expect.
LaunchPad Comes to iGB Live!
Fresh off the heels of declaring LineLibrary the winner of the ICE edition of LaunchPad, held recently in North America, this exciting initiative will form part of the invite-only section of the event.
The brainchild of Clarion Gaming’s head of Content Ewa Bakun, the LaunchPad initiative is a hotly-contested competition that provides emerging companies and start-ups operating within the iGaming industry the opportunity to “ debut their companies to senior level executives in search of new products and new partners, and potential investors, both VCs and strategic.”
LaunchPad aims to help competitors secure both long-term exposure and the funding necessary to “promote their innovations and … get some traction” in the gambling space, an industry that while providing lucrative opportunities is highly competitive. Sam Rattner, the founder of LineLibrary, and winner of the ICE LaunchPad describes it as “a great networking opportunity…providing awesome exposure for early stage gaming companies.”
There was a tie between two start-up companies last year, which saw them both declared as winners for their impressive approaches, so it will be interesting to see who scoops the prize this year as well as the innovations they will bring to the market.
EMIRAT AG “Lives” for iGaming
Top risk management specialist EMIRAT AG will make a special appearance at the 2019 iGB Live! in a move that will see the world leaders in the sector open up their “promotional proficiency and consumer marketing expertise” to iGaming companies.
At present, the company partners with operators and companies in the lottery competition verticals. However, EMIRAT COO Andrea Bargholz believes that they will be the “right contact” for gambling and sports betting operators despite their perceived specialism. Stating that the company “lives for the iGaming industry,” Bargholz doesn’t believe that a battle has to exist between lottery and iGaming, asking the question that many platforms and organizations in the lottery and raffle verticals bundle together with other products, so why not “bundle together with iGaming products?”
Undoubtedly, EMIRAT AG counts plenty of expertise and prestigious clients currently in its portfolio, and its main goal for exhibiting at iGB Live! is to meet with leading iGaming operators to “discuss how to grow business together” and tailor make solutions for “each promotion.”
Another key part of this year’s edition of iGB Live! will be the expanded conference section: iGB Live! HQ. This all-new agenda will include four different conference rooms — The Hive, Boardroom, Elevator and Counsel — that will feature sessions led by key C-Level leaders, influencers and decisionmakers within the industry, including:
- Erica Anderson – Director of Marketing, Paysafe Income Access
- Alex Hunter – Former Global Head of Digital, Virgin Group
- Marcin Deptula – Cofounder and CEO, Thunderpick
One of the highlights of the Affiliate Conference will be a 45-minute session delivered by Totally Gaming Academy’s Affiliate Management Course Director Tom Galanis. Titled “Going Grey in iGaming Affiliate Marketing,” the session will serve as an introduction to Totally Gaming Academy’s new Affiliate management training suite. Topics covered will include the Importance of Learning & Development, Managing Staff, Blending Sales with Relationship, Social Media Management and Finding Fulfillment.
