LCK Spring 2022 Week 1: Games to Watch

In the first week of LCK Spring, there were familiar faces on both sides that made for a series. North have struggled with their recent performance but Afreeca Freecs are looking to make it three consecutive wins against SKT T1. The days ahead will be filled with more exciting games as we head into Week 2

The “lck lol ” is a list of games that are expected to be played during the LCK Spring 2022. The list includes many popular LoL matches, such as SKT vs KT and Jin Air Green Wings vs Griffin.

The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) tournament begins this week, and the whole game schedule has been announced. Fans and pundits alike are looking forward to seeing the results of the clubs’ offseason changes during the LCK’s first week. Week 1 consists of ten best-of-three matches, and it’s okay if you don’t have time to see all of them.

The official LCK Twitch channel broadcasts all LCK games live.

For Week 1 of LCK, we’ve compiled a list of games to keep an eye on.

Week 1 – T1 vs. Kwangdong Freecs in LCK Spring 2022

Last summer, T1 was quite busy reorganizing their squad. Park “Teddy” Jin-seong, one of their bot laners, and jungler Choi “Ellim” El-lim, both of whom headed to Kwangdong Freecs, left them. This series will undoubtedly keep fans of last year’s T1 roster on the edge of their seats. On paper, T1’s squad seems to be formidable, led by superstar mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. This may be true, but the Freecs’ roster is far from insignificant. This team has big stars like Kim “Kiin” Gi-in on top lane and Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok in mid.

“How will T1’s powerful roster square up against former players Teddy and Ellim?” said LCK color commentator Wolf “Wolf” Schröder of the series. T1 and KDF both seem to be top-five teams, and this early battle will provide us with a good indication of each team’s power rankings. With ex-teammates Gumayusi and Teddy facing battle, this clash is likely to be a bot lane-centric series.

The match between T1 and KDF will take place on January 12 at 11 a.m. GMT.

Week 1 of LCK Spring 2022 – KT Rolster versus Damwon KIA

Damwon Gaming, fresh from the Worlds 2021 Finals, were also busy throughout the offseason. DK had to discover fresh talent when top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha retired and Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee left. Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon and Yoon “Hoya” Yong-ho are their new top laners. Kim “Kellin” Hyeong-gyu, a support player, has also been added to the lineup.

KT Rolster has their work cut out for them in this series against past World Champions and LCK Champions from 2021. The KT Rolster team had to completely rebuild, including significant recruits like as Japanese LJL mid laner Lee “Aria” Ga-eul. Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, a jungler, has also joined KT. With a completely new lineup, supporters are eager to watch how KT performs. What better way to show off your team’s synergy than by defeating World Champions?

A game from DK’s mid-jungle pair is always great to witness, regardless of new rosters. Will Heo “ShowMaker” Su, who dominated the rift in Worlds 2021, do so again?

The match between KT and DK will take place on January 13 at 11 a.m. GMT.

Week 1 of LCK Spring 2022 – Damwon KIA against Gen.G

In Week 1 of the LCK, Damwon KIA will face Gen.G in another must-see match. Mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and bot laner Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk are among G’s players. Seeing the Gen.G team take against the LCK’s reigning champions would undoubtedly be a sight to see. Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyeon, an ex-pro and commentator, is also curious to see which club has adapted better to their new personnel.

This might be the start of a bot lane-focused series. Ruler is recognized for his bot laner skill and has been known to carry games on his alone. Will Ruler’s technical prowess be enough to defeat the reigning LCK champions?

The match between DK and Gen.G will take place on January 16 at 11 a.m. GMT.

Should you watch the remainder of LCK Spring 2022?

Apart from these games, all of these games will be enjoyable to watch if you love classic League of Legends LCK players are regarded not just for their technical prowess, but also for their macro plays and “safe” decisions. As a consequence, games tend to be slower, with games usually ending after a handful of team clashes. Some could describe it as monotonous, while others might describe it as planned. LCK is worth watching regardless of whatever side of the debate you’re on.

LCK has a lot of skill, and for the most part, the power rankings seem to be quite close right now. Each team has a lot of skill, so we’ll have to wait for more games to see how the power rankings shake out. While famous names like Faker and ShowMaker remain on the Rift, nothing can be predicted for this season. ShowMaker’s ferocity may be turned off if the Demon King is no longer Unkillable.

LCK teams are also eager for triumph, as LCK’s Damwon KIA reached the finals of last year’s Worlds Championship but fell short after dropping a set against LPL’s EDward Gaming.
