LAPOSTE mailbox

LAPOSTE mailbox

Hello.

I recently purchased a Windows phone 8.1 (Nokia Lumia 635)

I set it up by following all the recommended steps.

My Microsoft account is operational my gmail and orange P.O. boxes (my account too).

My wife has a P.O. Box on LAPOSTE and it’s impossible to open it.

I first went through laposte.netmobile I entered the identifiers I’m sure of and certain I got as a response authentication error.

I tried to add a mailbox through the advanced settings.

I followed LAPOSTE’s procedure.

I entered the imap with port 993

I entered the smtp with port 465.

In short I did exactly what LAPOSTE

says After a more or less long synchronization the result is authentication error

I redid the maneuvers several times I even reinitialized my phone.

I consulted other forums which all gave me the same settings as LAPOSTE .

Nothing makes it almost hopeless because I’m 99% sure I’m doing the right thing.

Please if any of you can help me I would be infinitely grateful

Thank you in advance.

The setbacks of the mailbox of the post office.net, some could make a novel of it so much the management of this mailbox is bad.

Try to enter the identifier by adding the @laposte.net, check that the imap server is imap.laposte.net in SSL on port 993.

Thank you for answering me.

Yes indeed we could make a novel with many volumes.

I’ve been fighting with Laposte for over a month now.

I’ve tried I don’t know how many manipulations and I enter my ID this way:

******@laposte.net

.

I have to point out that my wife has a tab4 that runs under android and there is no

problem to access the damn mailbox of laposte.

So this problem would only concern windowsphone?

I wonder if there’s a solution to this problem?

Even Microsoft seems unable to find a solution. They gave me the

procedure and I applied it to the letter.

But there must be a trick somewhere …

Same thing, no problem with my laposte box and my Lumia 925. But personally, I just went into another account and let myself be guided.

Are you sure you capitalized your password? I know I tended to forget him and that was a problem.

Could you be a little more explicit when you say you went to another account?

Sue my lumia635 there is only the account that I created at Miocrosoft by setting it up.

Does that mean I have to open another one?

And how capitalized is the beginning of my password? This one doesn’t.

As for my connection, it’s wifi.

Thank you for helping me.

Well something else because the initial account can only be Microsoft. For example Hotmail or Outlook. Then you can add Gmail, Yahoo, La Poste etc, etc, etc…

I have an Outlook account and I don’t see how with this account I can add Laposte

I also have gmail and Orange which was configured without difficulty .

If you could be more specific about how to do this, I’d be grateful.

Thank you

That’s what I’ve done dozens of times.

I go by advanced configuration and I proceed as I indicated in my first post

or if you prefer I do exactly as shown in the tutorial of Bouygues except that I put as incoming server imap4.laposte.net:993:0

Why do you use the imap4.laposte.net server? I use imap.laposte.net.

Whether I put imap4.laposte.net:993:0 or

imap.laposte.net:993:0, the result is the same.

I tried at random with as incoming server pop.laposte.net:995 identical result .

Oh, I forgot, I’ve experienced adding an Orange mailbox in addition to the one I have on the

smartphone and exactly the same result as with Laposte.

This is my first smartphone, I’m just a regular

user of telephony and computers but I would love to know how to use it….

Others than me have had this kind of problems and we could make a novel out of it (Ulrich says so).

Many had to give up but others had the solution. So! Why not me?

Please help me. All your suggestions are good to take. I will apply them to the letter if you give me

give me one more manipulation.

Thank you. Thank you.

I just checked in the advanced settings, and I realized that SSL was not enabled by default. So I had logically imap.laposte.net:143:0 (port 143 corresponding to IMAP without SSL). So I checked Require SSL protocol for incoming mail and Require SSL protocol for outgoing mail to protect the connection a bit more, but there is no change concerning the port used, so for the automatic configuration, it’s imap.laposte.net:143:0 and not imap.laposte.net:993:0

I have a nokia 735 under windows version 8.10.15116.125

On my computer, the port used for SSL is 993

I think the simplest would be a soft reset.

Or the password for the email account is not the right one. It should be checked by accessing the mail space of the laposte.net website from a computer.

All settings -> about -> reset.

On the other hand, when your mobile will be reset, it will ask you if you want to set it up with the last backup, you will put no.

And yes, like the capital letter at the beginning of the password. It happened to me.

The password for Laposte messaging is the right one . I don’t forget to capitalize because he doesn’t have one.

I have just tested all the identifiers from the PC on which I answer you.

And then how do I explain that to access another Orange email address I have exactly the same problems?

That’s a good question. For my part, as I said, I have no problem to access my mailbox with my nokia 735. I configured it without any difficulty yesterday, I just had to enter my email address and my password, everything was done automatically, and configured in IMAP without any intervention on my part.

Yes:

This is it.

I managed to install the Laposte mailbox.

For this I first changed my Laposte password.

I tried to add the Laposte account on my mobile with this new password but it didn’t work.

I then made the decision to reset my smartphone.

Once reset I tried again to install the damn mailbox with the new password.

Miracle! It installed itself without going through advanced settings .

I’ve checked the imap and it’s just like Ulrich said in port 143 that you have to enter.

Many thanks to Ulrich and Aardohan for their help.

I apologize for taking up some of your time, but without you, I’ll have to look again.

Thank you both so much again.
