Kings vs. Spurs prediction, odds, pick, and more

The Sacramento Kings scored a whopping 17 points in their win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. Both teams now play on Wednesdays. With that in mind, it’s time to continue the NBA odds series and make a prediction and pick for the Kings-Spurs game.

The Kings are on a roll: They have won five games in a row and are 11th in the tough Western Conference with a 22-25 record. The Spurs have struggled of late, winning just four of their last 10 games, but they are still eighth in the West with a 23-21 record.

Here’s how sports bettors determine the opening odds for the Kings-Spurs game.

Paris NBA : Kings Spurs Bets

Sacramento Kings +2.5 (-110)

San Antonio Spurs -2.5 (-110)

More than 231 points (-110)

Less than 231 (-110)

Why the Kings can cover the spread

The Kings are on a roll thanks to the offensive performance of their star player, De’Aaron Fox.

The team currently ranks 11th in the NBA in offensive rating after a game at Fox that night. Fox finished with 23.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists while shooting a very efficient 48.6 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from behind the 3-point line.

The rest of the team’s starters are also delivering double figures per game, all shooting nearly 40 percent or better from the field.

With Marvin Bagley injured, the Kings could find players to step up, like their rookie Tyrese Haliburton, who is averaging 13.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists. SacTown has also added Delon Wright, Terence Davis and Maurice Harkless for more production from the bench on both the defensive and offensive sides of the floor.

These additions could be the reason for the Kings’ recent win streak, even though they are still struggling defensively and are in last place in the NBA’s defensive rankings.

However, the Kings’ problem against the Spurs is not the offense, but the defense, especially against a balanced team where any player can run hot at any point in the game. If Sacramento can show some intensity on defense and slow down DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray in particular, they have a good chance to cover the spread.

Why tracks can close the gap

The Spurs haven’t played much basketball lately, and that can be attributed to the loss of LaMarcus Aldridge.

In the first of two games against the Kings, DeRozan scored just 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field. Overall, only five players scored in double figures for San Antonio, led by backcourt duo Dejounte Murray (23 points) and Derrick White (19).

In addition to the Spurs’ poor offensive numbers, the team allowed a total of 132 points against the Kings and three players allowed 20 or more points.

If the Spurs want to cover the spread, the team will have to work together to slow down Fox, who leads virtually all of the Kings’ offense. San Antonio will also need a better offensive performance from DeRozan.

Ultimate Spy Kings Prediction and Selection

The Kings showed their offensive prowess in their win over the Spurs on Monday night. Seven Kings players scored in double figures, including three who scored more than 20 points.

The Spurs, meanwhile, are struggling to find an attack with DeRozan and players off the bench. Not to mention the poor defense against the Kings. Still, this game looked like a good matchup for San Antonio, as they are in the top 10 defensively and DeRozan is a better player offensively than the one who performed the week before.

If the Spurs can get back to their usual performance on Wednesday, they should be able to put together a team capable of beating the Kings.
