Justice League Snyder Cut Concept Art Reveals Zack Snyder’s Green Lantern

League’s Snyder Cut concept art reveals the first glimpse of Zack Snyder’s Green Lantern Jon Stewart, who will make his debut in the epilogue of Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe. Jojo Aguilar, creative director of animation studio Lex + Otis, which works with Jay Oliva’s Snyder Studio, shared concept images on Twitter that reveal new aspects of Apokolipt’s grandmother, the Martian bounty hunter (Harry Lennix) and the Joker (Jared Leto). Stewart is expected to appear with the bounty hunter from Mars in the scene that ends with Snyder revealing a shapeshifting alien Batman (Ben Affleck).

It was the best experience of my career to work with @ZackSnyder. I have worked for a long time and by far the most professional, the most beautiful and the most amazing! And thanks to @jayoliva1 for introducing me to it! #SnyderCut #RestoreTheSnyderVerse pic.twitter.com/Uil99i7liW

Twitter users may have identified Snyder’s Green Lantern as stage actor Wayne T. Carr, who makes his film debut when Zack Snyder’s Justice League comes out on the 18th. Mars is a first for HBO Max Snyder previously revealed that studio Warner Bros vetoed Stewart’s participation because the character was already scheduled to appear opposite Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps.

The studio told me not to film anything. That there would be no film. They insisted on that during production. And I was always shooting in my garden, of course. And one of the things I included was the Green Lantern scene, Snyder told Esquire recently. And then when they saw the film and saw that I had put it in, they asked me to take it out. And I said I’d leave if they tried to get him out. And I felt bad. The truth is, I didn’t want fans to miss the movie because of that one roller coaster I was aiming for.

Snyder added: The Green Lantern is Jon Stewart. And that was part of it. I don’t want to remove the man of color from the film. I’m not going to do that. But I figured Harry Lennix’s Martian Manhunter would be at the end, so that’s good.

After Snyder told Vanity Fair that the Martian Manhunter scene was a compromise with the studio, Lennix revealed that his character would appear alongside Stewart’s Green Lantern in what would be his live-action debut.

From the beginning, I knew I would be there. It had to be Marcian Manhunter and Jon Stewart, Lennix told the LightCast Podcast. J’onn J’onzz and Jon Stewart, just like in the movie. But then they made him remove that part. So I got on stage with Ben Affleck later in October. So I think it was the receiver, I mean the information that was conveyed in that scene, [Snyder] just let Marcian Manhunter do it, which I thought was funny. He said something along the lines that he thought there was a good way to tie together the information that needs to be published.
