Aranza, Jacob and I have been attending the same church since we were born. Our parents are friends, so we’ve known each other our whole lives. Recently, I started a blog called “The Net Shame Blog,” where I write about my experiences as a young Christian woman growing up in the Digital Age
I was inspired to start this blog after reading an article by Pastor Jacob about the shame young women feel when they’re faced with sexual temptation online. In his post, he talks about how easy it is for us to fall into the trap of thinking that our worth lies in our physical appearance and sexuality. He encouraged us to remember that we are valuable human beings created in God’s image, no matter what anyone else says or does.
As I thought about what Pastor Jacob said, I realized that there aren’t many resources out there for Christian women who are struggling with these issues. So I decided to start this blog as a way to share my own journey and hopefully help others who might be going through something similar.
My goal is to create a safe space where Christian women can talk openly and honestly about the challenges we face in today’s world. I want us to feel less alone and more supported as we navigate our faith in an increasingly secular culture. And most importantly, I want us to remember that we are not defined by our mistakes or failures, but by the grace and love of our Savior Jesus Christ
Early Life
I was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. My parents were both very active in the local church, and I grew up attending services every Sunday. I always loved going to church, and I remember feeling very close to God as a child.
However, when I was 12 years old, something happened that changed my relationship with the Church forever. My best friend at the time, Aranza, confided in me that she had been molested by our pastor. This was a huge shock to me, and it made me question everything I thought I knew about religion.
Aranza bravely decided to speak out about her abuse, and she encouraged me to do the same. We went public with our stories, and the media quickly descended on our small town. The scandal made national headlines, and our once-trusted pastor became a household name overnight.
It was a very difficult time for me, but Aranza’s strength inspired me to keep fighting. We eventually helped get our pastor arrested and put behind bars where he belonged. After that experience, I realized that the Church wasn’t always what it seemed to be on the surface. It could be a dark and dangerous place if you weren’t careful.
These days, I’m much more wary of organized religion. But even though my faith has been shaken, I still believe in God. And I know that He loves us all unconditionally – no matter what we’ve been through or where we come from.”

Shame

Worth It?

We all have our own unique set of values, beliefs, and opinions. And while it’s great to have a variety of perspectives, there are some things that just aren’t worth arguing about. Take, for example, the blog posts by Pastor Jacob Aranza entitled “Worth It?”.
