Good morning everyone,
I have the new iPad 3 iOS 5.1 and I would like to know how to transfer photos taken with this iPad to my Windows 7 PC.
I have connected the USB cable (supplied) from one device to the other, the device (from the iPad) is well displayed in Computer on the PC, what should I do?
Thank you for your help

DiskAid
iPhone, iPad & iPod Transfer Tool for PC & Mac.
There’s a fully functional demo period if I remember correctly. It’s not francized, but it’s so simple. http://www.digidna.net/products/diskaid
The price displayed for Mac is ~25$, I guess it’s the same for Windows. It is free for students and teachers under certain conditions, see site, but I’m afraid it’s not applicable to all students and teachers.

Hello Marie
I visited the site you gave me the link to. But it’s not applicable
I’m hoping to find something free and much simpler
Thank you for your help and have a nice day.

Hello Dudul Mac
Thanks for your link. I just ran through it quickly and it looks interesting
However, since the reading seems to be long and I have to be away until Monday, I will look into it more at the beginning of next week.
I’ll keep you posted on the maneuvers I’ve made…
Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Re Dudul Mac
As promised, here’s some news about my manipulation.
Finally, after taking the time to read the link you sent me, I was able to transfer my photos taken with my iPad to my PC without any worries and even very quickly.
Here’s how I did it (I hope it can be useful to other users):
After connecting my iPad to its PC (with the supplied USB cable) I waited a few seconds for the autorun window to open, then I clicked on Import Pictures and Videos with Windows.
Just name the folder to which the photos will be exported.
You also have the option (Y/N) to delete photos from the iPad after uploading.
Photos are exported to the My Pictures folder and a folder is created automatically.
Operation time: no more than 2 minutes
Thanks again for your link and have a nice day

Hello
Direct transfer of photos from your iPad to the computer is not possible, you have to go through iTunes, the official tool of Apowersoft. You can install iTunes on your computer and then start uploading photos.
Alternatively, you can use a third party utility. In fact, I have an excellent tool to propose, the Apowersoft Smartphone Manager allows to efficiently transfer files from iOS devices to the computer. You can easily export photos, contacts, videos etc. This software has already been proven by many software sites.

You can try to transfer photos from iPad to PC with email in this way: Select the picture you’re going to send in Photos. You can select several pictures at a time-just tap them, and a small blue circle with a white tick inside will appear on the bottom right-hand side corner of your picture. After you select your images, tap the blue box with an arrow in the top left-hand side corner of the page. All you have to do now is type in the recipient’s email address, bring your finger down on the send button, and voilà! Your picture (or pictures) are sent!

I just got an iPad and I’m fumbling around trying to figure out how to get certain tasks done. I bought it to replace my laptop while I was traveling. The ipad would be my only computer in these cases, so I need it to be at least independent.
It would be to perform simple tasks like:
– how to transfer ipad photo to pc I took with my APN (SD card) directly in the ipad
– do basic retouching of my photos (is there an app that can read Photoshop actions?)
– read and make basic editions of word/excel documents
– read PDF files
– read avi( xvid) and mkv (x264) files without re-encoding
– transfer audio and video files from ipad to pc

How to proceed?
Do you know of any good applications that do this?
My ipad is not JB and I’d like to keep it that way.
Thank you
