On 22 September 2017, Huawei officially launched the Huawei Maimang 6 in China. According to leaked information, the smartphone is expected to be launched internationally under the name Huawei Mate 10 Lite. This information is confirmed following a new leak. On October 11, 2017, Dutch dealer Belsimpel will unveil the price and Release Date of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite in Europe. According to him, the smartphone will be available on the old continent from the beginning of November 2017. Its price will be 349€. It will therefore be much more affordable than the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which could cost more than €1000.
Huawei Mate 10 Lite: four photo sensors and borderless display for €349
Like the Mate 10 Pro, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will be equipped with an 18:9 screen. Its main originality will be the presence of a dual 16MP+2MP photo sensor at the rear, but also a dual 13MP+2MP sensor at the front. In total, the smartphone will therefore accumulate four sensors. This is a feature that is still very rare in the global smartphone market and almost unheard of in Europe. This dual Front photo sensor will provide the same benefits as a dual back sensor for selfies.
In particular, it will be possible to benefit from a better image quality, and probably add a Bokeh effect to portraits, i.e. a blurred background for an artistic effect. However, the full range of possibilities offered by this dual sensor will not be revealed until the official presentation of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. The smartphone will probably be unveiled along with the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro on October 16th in Berlin. According to the source, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will first be offered in Black and Gold before being launched in Blue.
