PDU 257 Example

Conor McGregor faces a very tough test against a hungry and improved Dustin Poirier, whom he knocked out in 2014. McGregor, however, is already thinking of another revenge for the latest defeat on his resume.

I’ll tell you what, it will be an easy revenge for me this Sunday, but it won’t be the easiest for me. If I get revenge on Khabib [Nurmagomedov], it will be an easy revenge, I guarantee it, McGregor told TSN correspondent Aaron Bronster. If he wants to keep running, it’s no problem, I’ll eliminate the others. Unlike the one that escaped, it was Dustin. He knocked out Justin, beat Dan Hooker, and Chandler is out of the minor leagues and hasn’t been tested at UFC yet, so we’ll see.

While UFC president Dana White thinks Khabib would be the smart solution if McGregor wins.

This is a huge money fight, White told reporters. The two men are going to make a lot of money. We call it number one.

Number two, this is a big fight for their inheritance. If you’re Conor, you want revenge for losing to Khabib. If you’re Khabib, you want to beat him twice to prove it…. You know?

Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov was pretty adamant that he has no intention of fighting anytime soon.

I know there are a lot of fighters who want to make money, who fight for something, he said. What should I do? Many people don’t want to understand my point of view. I don’t see it yet.

I kept it, he added. Don’t torture me, just let me enjoy what I have for today. And just so you know, I sacrificed a lot to get to this level.

As for his fight on Saturday, McGregor has no intention of working late.

I love Dustin. I think he’s a good fighter, McGregor said. He’s even a great fighter. But the big one is always under me. I’m gonna take Dustin out in 60 seconds.

McGregor is the big favorite, with a huge change at the line making him a -315 favorite. This is a change from opening at a more modest level of -180.
