Default How to import ALL the photos and videos from an IPHONE to a PC ?

  1. Good evening everyone,

I want to import 56 photos and 5 videos from my neighbour’s PHONE to my PC.

So I connected a cable with a USB plug between these 2 devices.

When I opened the window on my computer, I asked to import photos and videos from the IPHONE.

My computer only imported 40 photos and only 1 video.

Would a specialist have a beginning of explanation why my computer is unable to find all 61 files (56 + 5)?

Why does my computer only partially recover these files (40 out of 56 photos and 1 out of 5 videos)?

What solution do you propose to solve this problem of partial import (I wish I didn’t have to download any software to do this)?

Thank you very much in advance for your valuable information.

    Have a nice evening.

  1. What you’re missing is probably in the icloud.

  1. Good evening chrtophe,

Thank you very much for your prompt response.

Then, not being a computer scientist and even less an APPLE specialist, what do I have to do to import the 61 files of my neighbour’s IPHONE?

In advance, thank you very much.

    Good night. Good night.

  1. You need to install ITunes.
  2. You can then set it up to sync photos from the iphone with the PC.

  1. Good morning chrtophe,
  2. Thank you for this valuable information.

Small precision: If I understand correctly, some websites claim that iTunes does not allow you to import photos and videos from an iPhone to a PC.

    For example: http://www.imobie.fr/support/how-to-…o-computer.htm

says : But if you restore an iTunes library on a new computer, and then you realize that not all videos can be retrieved back into the computer unless you find a tool exclusive for iPhone – AnyTrans..

    Another example: http://www.transfer-iphone-recovery….e-vers-pc.html

says : Because iTunes is a single tool, it cannot let you perform the transfer.

  3. On the other hand, if I import the first 41 files into my PC and then delete those 41 files in the iPhone, will the files that are in the iCloud come back into the iPhone, so that I can do a second import for the 16 photos and 4 videos that were missing during the first import?
  4. Thank you in advance.

    Have a nice day.

  1. The other files are in icloud that’s why they were not transferred. Look in the iPhone settings, you can download photos from iCloud and then turn it off. Once this is done you retry an import and you should with all the photos/videos.

  1. Warning, when using the icloud, there may be data stored locally in the iphone and other data stored in the icloud, if you delete an info from the terminal but it is in the icloud, it will be reflected in the icloud.
  2. Don’t delete anything until you’re sure it’s somewhere else.
  3. Moreover I have little experience in managing photos on PC, I rather work on macs for this kind of thing. But the principles are applicable on both platforms.
  4. In addition, using icloud automatically disables some of the cable sync possibilities with itunes.
