You no longer support notification requests sent by the sites you visit? Here’s how to block them on Google Chrome
” Do you allow this site to send you notifications?“For the past few weeks the question has come up almost every time you visit a site. And you’re probably already tired of relentlessly clicking “no” every time you visit a new site on which you haven’t yet banned these notifications.
Fortunately, as our colleagues from Android Police pointed out, there is a simple way to block those annoying pop-ups on Google Chrome
On Chrome for Android
To perform this block on the Android version of Chrome, the manipulation is hidden in many sub-menus. To completely disable website notifications, simply :
- Appuyer sur le menu dans Google Chrome (les trois points verticaux)
- Choisir l’option « Paramètres »
- Dans l’onglet « Paramètres avancés », choisir « Paramètres du site »
- Choisir « Notifications »
- Décocher le premier choix
Sur Chrome pour ordinateur
La manipulation est fort heureusement plus simple sur ordinateur. Il faut d’abord saisir manuellement l’adresse « chrome://settings/content/notifications » dans la barre d’URL.
Les options liées aux notifications sont alors réglées par défaut sur « Demander l’autorisation avant d’envoyer (recommandé) » : il suffit de désactiver cette option pour la mettre sur « Bloqué » et le tour est joué !
