Grizzlies

The grizzlies have been reintroduced to the states in recent years with their numbers on the rise. Grizzlies are a threat to humans and livestock, but they also provide an important ecosystem service by reducing forest fires. The release of captive-raised bears into areas where there once wasn’t one could pose new challenges for conservationists.

The “grizzlies game ” is a basketball game that was played on November 17, 2018. The Grizzlies won the game against the Detroit Pistons by a score of 104-100.

On Thursday, the Timberwolves welcome the Memphis Grizzlies to Minnesota for Game 3! It’s time to continue our NBA odds series with a prediction and selection for the Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves matchup.

NBA-Odds-Pistons

In Game 2, the Grizzlies rallied back and defeated the Timberwolves at home. It would be difficult to restrain the Grizzlies for back-to-back games, but the Timberwolves made their presence felt in this series. Minnesota did their job and robbed the Grizzlies of their home-court edge. From here on out, this series should be tight since these two teams have two of the best scoring attacks in the NBA.

Why the Grizzlies Might Be able to Cover The Spread

Memphis performed well in Game 2 and demonstrated why they are the superior team in this game. The first quarter was tight, with Memphis winning 33-32, but it was the last time Minnesota was in contention. In the second quarter, the Grizzlies limited the T-Wolves to only 17 points, and in the fourth quarter, they were held to just 19 points. The defense really stepped up and held the T-Wolves’ offensive in check. Anthony Edwards was restricted to 20 points and Karl-Anthony Towns to 15 points by the Grizzlies. Towns has yet to make an appearance in this series.

Because the spread is just a point, the Grizzlies should be able to cover it comfortably. All they’d have to do is win by two points, which is within their grasp. They’ll be on the road, where they finished the season with a record of 26-15. The Timberwolves ended with a similar (26-15) record at home, so something will have to give in these next two games. On Thursday night Ja Morant and his teammates must perform in the same manner as they did in Game 2 in order to cover the spread.

Morant came up one rebound short of a triple-double in the rout. His 23 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds led the Grizzlies to an easy victory against the Timberwolves, but everyone on the squad contributed. Six additional members scored in the double digits, and I anticipate the same outcome in Game 3.

The Timberwolves’ Chances of Covering The Spread

One individual in particular has to step up right now. It’s the same athlete that took first place in the NBA Three-Point Shootout in February. Karl-Anthony Towns had a good game in Game 1, scoring 29 points, but he was held to to 15 points in Game 2. Towns is one of the best scoring threats at the center position, so it can’t happen. His ability to hit three-pointers is very crucial, as it enables the offense to flow more freely. Anthony Edwards enjoys driving to the basket, and Towns’ great shooting skill helps Edwards to succeed even when the opposition center is blocking the paint. Towns will need to perform like he did in Game 1 if the T-Wolves are to have a chance in this series.

The offense was unable to establish a rhythm on Tuesday night. The Grizzlies’ defense has vastly improved since Game 1, something the Timberwolves may not have anticipated. Another key contributor to their poor performance was their 11-38 shooting from beyond the arc. Minnesota will be a lot closer in this game if they can improve those stats. Towns needs to make more three-pointers to spread out the offense. In Game 2, he only tried one and failed. It would also make sense for him to take more than seven shots during the game.

The Minnesota supporters, according to Edwards, are harder than Memphis fans and will be a key problem for the Grizzlies to cope with on Thursday night. If he is correct, this series has the potential to go a long time

Final Grizzlies-Timberwolves Prediction & Pick

Given how Game 2 concluded, I believe selecting the Grizzlies is the best bet. The Grizzlies are favored by two points, and they are coming off a 28-point victory. They now have all of the momentum, which they should take into Game 3.

Final Grizzlies-Timberwolves Prediction & Pick: Grizzlies -1.5 (-110)
