God of War: the Next Dj Teas Opus by Sony ?

2018 was a year rich in video games. The big studios did not disappoint and players were able to debate at length on the identity of the game of the year. God of War on one side, Red Dead Redemption 2 on the other, players are still divided. But on the Sony side, the teasing of the next part of his Nordic epic seems to have started.

runic teasing

Earlier this week, Sony released a dynamic PS4 theme featuring the latest God of War. Kratos and Atreus can be found in a boat on the northern waters occupied by the immense Jörmungandr. However, the attentive eyes of some Internet users have noticed strange runes on the boat of the two protagonists. The shared discovery on Reddit, the most knowledgeable have been able to translate these runes: Is the Ragnarok arriving registered there.

The Ragnarok is the northern equivalent of the Apocalypse, seen by Jews and Christians as a series of cataclysms, as destructive as the meteorite that crashed into the Earth at the end of the Cretaceous period. And where Kratos passes, the Gods pass. Even if this new trilogy God of War has, for the moment, been relatively lenient towards the deities that govern the Nordic pantheon, it goes without saying that the heads should start raining in the next opus.

A discreet teasing that reminds fans of the license that a sequel is planned and already in preparation. The next episode will undoubtedly take the direction of the PS5, the PS4 should leave its place in the living rooms within the next few years. The Sony exclusive has become one of the must-haves of this generation of consoles, pushing its support to the limit, as the fan of the poor PS4 suggests. Anyway, we can’t wait to find out what the studios in Santa Monica have in store for us, which will certainly give us an appointment at the E3 2020.
