This year Kratos is celebrating its 10th anniversary and Sony recently announced its return to PlayStation 4 with God of War III Remastered.

Sony took advantage of the 10th anniversary of the God of War saga to announce, via its subsidiary Santa Monica Studio the great return of Kratos on PlayStation 4. While Sony hasn’t released much information on the subject, we believe that this episode will be about the God of War III which was released on PlayStation 3 in March 2010. So we will find Kratos, the new God of War who comes to measure himself against the Gods.

After going back in the past to avoid that the Gods lock the Titans in Tartarus, it is with the help of the Titans that Kratos will climb Mount Olympus. He will have to face the powers of the Gods, notably Poseidon, Helios or Zeus, his father, and will have to save the famous Pandora. In search of the Flame of Olympus, Kratos will discover that Pandora is the key to Pandora’s box.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Kratos, Sony has announced the return of God of War III on PlayStation 4. Of course, this remastered version will feature Full HD and 60 frames per second for even more action. This updated version will also feature other content, including a photo mode that has not yet been detailed by Sony.
Expected for July 15, 2015 on PlayStation 4, God of War III Remastered may disappoint some players as it’s only a next gen version of a game released 5 years ago, but as Tim Moss, Director of Product development at the Santa Monica studio explains, the 60 fps and controller of the PS4 is much better than that of the PS3, which should provide a better experience.
