GIGABYTE announced the launch of the first-ever 4K gaming monitor with Ultra HD resolution and the world’s first 4K UHD OLED display panel. This new monitor is named AORUS FO48U and measures 48.5 inches, 38 inches wide and 4.3 inches thick. It also features a 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 (HDR) resolution panel, which delivers a display resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The monitor also supports HDR10 format for a wide range of HDR content. It features a Thunderbolt 3 interface and is powered by an Intel Core i7-8700K processor, overclocked to 5GHz.
GIGABYTE has announced the full specifications of it’s first 4K OLED display. The FO48U features a UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution, or 4k, with a maximum brightness of 600 cd/m2. The monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio, supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and uses the latest HDMI 2.1 specification. It comes with a stand with a height of 25.91 cm (10.3 inches) and a tilt function of 20 degrees. The monitor will be available in the summer of 2017.
The AORUS FO48U display claims to be the ‘first 4K 3840 x 2160 PC monitor’, and the specs certainly back up this claim. A 4K resolution means the monitor has a pixel density of around 4,000 ppi. The monitor also supports 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 for better connectivity and bandwidth.
GIGABYTE GIGABYTE has released the homepage and full specifications of one of its most anticipated HDMI 2.1 gaming monitors, the AORUS FO48U. The relatively large AORUS FO48U display features a 47.53-inch OLED panel with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 px) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms GTG response time, 98% DCI-P3 color space, 130% sRGB color space, and 135,000:1 contrast ratio. Unfortunately, the GIGABYTE AORUS FO48U does not appear to offer HDR support. Prices and availability dates are also unknown at this time.
