Update: Following the publication of our article OCS wished to inform our readers that the service has simply been a victim of the success of Game of Thrones. So was HBO. Today (July 18) OCS states that the bugs reported in this article are almost all fixed. The service is optimal for almost all users.
It was an event awaited by fans all over the world. Last night, Sunday July 16th, Game of Thrones Season 7 finally aired. The end of a huge suspense for the aficionados of the series, who were able to discover it through the OCS channel in France. It turns out, however, that its launch was most catastrophic due to a rain of technical problems. Ouch!
Game of Thrones, the medieval-fantastic American television series based on the novel by George R. R. Martin, caused general euphoria last night. The reason? The official return of Jon Snow and the whole clique to the big screen through a season 7 more awaited than ever.
Fans around the world were eagerly awaiting the seventh season of the Iron Throne, which marked its return to the big screen on Sunday 16 July. Broadcast in the United States via the revolutionary HBO channel, it was also broadcast viaOCS in France. The only difference is that his launch was completely screwed up!
French viewers were expecting a good evening, they will have been very disappointed. The OCS channel, in charge of broadcasting season 7 of Game of Thrones in France, simply messed up the launch of the latter. A shower of problems has disrupted the smooth running of operations.
The episode was originally scheduled to air around 3:00 a.m. However, many fans realized that the OCS site was buggy upstream and that it was impossible for them to create an account to subscribe and/or connect. The concern was still unresolved at the time of its official release.
That’s not all, as technical malfunctions have also occurred. The subtitles were simply to absentsubscribers, preventing fans from fully enjoying this original English version. That’s enough to make some people grumble and knowing at the same time that a lot of sound problems and image cuts have been identified.
Complaints and messages of various dissatisfactions then didn’t take long to appear on the social network Twitter, as our friends at PaperGeek.co.uk report. The OCS account then suffered a rain of messages and insults from thousands of fans. We can only hope it won’t happen again on July 23rd, the day Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 will air.
But GoT starts in 2 hours and the @OCSTV website is in full bug, I’m going to freak out.
