A Free Fishing Occasion with Angling Instruction for Youth
Discover ways to fish and discover the value of aquatic assets at the 2019 Family & Youth Casting Name on Saturday, June 1 from 10:30 a.m. to three:30 p.m. happening along the banks of the Anacostia River in Anacostia Park, just outdoors of the Aquatic Assets Schooling Middle!
The Family & Youth Casting Call is an annual free event sponsored by the Department of Power & Surroundings (DOEE) Fisheries & Wildlife Division. DOEE offers fishing instruction, environmental schooling activities, and group assets to youth and their households. Families can deliver their own fishing gear or youth might use the spin casting gear offered by DOEE. DOEE also provides bait and organizes volunteer fishing instructors to help youth members study the basics of catch-and-release fishing in a fun, supportive setting.
*NOTE: Signal as much as reserve a single one hour fishing slot, gear, and instruction for youth participant
