MIAMI GARDENS, FL – Logan Paul raised his right glove and pointed to the sky. Then he made a face at Floyd Mayweather and laughed at him. And then he struck. It was a surreal moment in a surreal construction and struggle. YouTube star Logan Paul went the distance with Floyd Mayweather – all eight rounds – Sunday night in a thrilling practice fight at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Last month, Paul’s trainer, Milton Lacroix, told ESPN that success in this fight would mean Paul would go to the end. And that’s what Paul did. He’s better than I thought, Mayweather said of Paul. …he surprised me today. Good job. Nice guy. Eight three-minute rounds were scheduled as part of the show. Mayweather and Paul wore 10-ounce gloves. There were no judges and no official announcement of the winner, although knockouts were allowed. The Florida State Boxing Commission did not officially sanction the fight – due to the huge difference in size and experience – but made Samuel Burgos available as referee. The fight, which will not be on either fighter’s professional record, was arranged by promoter Mayweather Promotions and aired on Showtime pay-per-view. I don’t want anyone to ever tell me anything is impossible again, Paul said. The fact that I’m here with one of the best boxers of all time proves that you can overcome obstacles. Jack took Colin down three times in the fourth round, the last time he applied the three punch rule and stopped the fight. Colina (15-1, 13 KOs) was briefly replaced by Jean Pascal, who tested positive for stimulants and was withdrawn from the fight. It certainly felt like he was getting some points for holding out and not playing effectively enough. It was two short right hooks – one to the head and one to the body – that were Jack’s finishing moves in the fight. As good as Arias-Hurd was, Colina – Jack was not. Bad body language from the start, Colina didn’t want to be there. Pretty ugly. #MayweatherPaul – Teddy Atlas (@TeddyAtlasReal) 7. June 2021 Jack, who somehow always ends up on the big stage, plans to move up to the cruiserweight division and says he’s tired of losing weight as he gets older. Swedish Jack can become a three division champion if he wins the light heavyweight title. I just need to be patient, Jack said. This is God’s plan. I need to keep the pressure on.

Arias defeated Herd by split decision

Luis Arias (right) defeated Jarrett Hurd in a junior middleweight fight, winning by split decision. Cliff Hawkins/Getty Images Luis Arias already has a nickname. It’s called Cuba, after his Cuban father. But maybe he should consider changing his name to Rain Man. In the pouring rain, Arias delivered his best performance of his career by defeating first-seeded Jarrett Herd via split decision (94-95, 97-93, 96-93) in a middleweight bout. The first round went relatively well. But after the second fight had to be stopped because of rain and Arias slipped in the ring, he redoubled his efforts, throwing and landing haymaker after haymaker during the brief breaks in which he had to wipe down the slippery canvas.

Heard did not fall and was not seriously injured. But Arias continued to apply pressure and rarely flinched. He hit Hurd hard – huge left and top hooks – for much of the fight. Over and over again. The herd ate them all, but didn’t stop most of them. Arias’ face was bloody after the second blow, but it made no difference. You could get me out of here, Arias told Herd. I was definitely high. If you could find a way, you could get me out of here. Heard had a few moments in the fifth and sixth. Arias seemed to slow down while maintaining an intense pace. At the time, Heard was capable of uppercuts at close range, as well as left hooks. The shots did some damage, but not enough to stop Arias from attacking. Heard hit two consecutive left punches in the bottom of the seventh, potentially giving Arias time to recover. Arias finished the fight in the ninth and tenth rounds with strong combinations and lightning fast hand punches. Jarrett is a great fighter, and he’s not done yet, Arias said. Arias (19-2-1), a Milwaukee native, snapped a three-game winning streak. Heard (24-2) has lost two of his three fights. Heard is a former uniformed super welterweight champion and has moved up to middleweight for this fight. He was clearly bigger in the ring, but that didn’t matter.

ex-NFL Johnson gets knocked out, he finishes the practice match againstMaxwell.

Chad Johnson was knocked down by Brian Maxwell during their practice fight at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday. Cliff Hawkins/Getty Images Chad Johnson’s boxing debut was surprisingly impressive until midway through the fourth round, when a powerful right hook from Brian Maxwell knocked him to the ground. Knockdown is the main act after Ochocinco enters the ring Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium. Johnson, 43, can take pride in standing up after a punch, as he did in a four-round fight against a professional fighter in Maxwell. OCHO AGAINST SCIENCE! Salud, bro! @ochocinco – LeBron James (@KingJames) June 7, 2021 My life has always been about taking risks and doing crazy things – it’s always been on my wish list, Johnson said. It was a message to all who are not afraid to take risks. Don’t be afraid to fail. It’s all right, it’s all right. The fight was evenly matched and there was no official referee, so no winner was announced. Maxwell, 33, claimed victory after the fight and said: Ask the world who Brian Maxwell is now. Brian Maxwell is here. Thanks, Chad. It was an honor to fight my idol. Maxwell is currently fighting dirty and has an 0-3 record with two knockout losses. He was also 0-1 in standard boxing fights and 2-3 in MMA fights. The fight between Johnson and Maxwell was the first fight on the main card of the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul tournament, and it was surprisingly entertaining for a practice fight.

Johnson’s first fight draws many NFL officials, including Terrell Owens, who stands in his corner and expresses his love for him after the fight. Other contributors include Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, former wide receiver Brandon Marshall and former running back Channing Crowder. 2 Connected The crowd at Hard Rock Stadium was for Johnson, who is from Miami. They encouraged him before and after the fight. Johnson spent two months training, including several weeks with title-winning brothers Jermall and Jermell Charlo. He has also worked with UFC star Jorge Masvidal. Johnson started the fight with power and won the first round after hitting several right jabs and a glancing left hook. Johnson, who beat Maxwell 17-14 according to CompuBox, had a good chance to win the fight before he was knocked out in the fourth round. Johnson told the I Am Athlete podcast that Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather’s manager, offered him the opportunity to potentially make $1 million for the fight, and he couldn’t turn it down. A week before the fight, Ochocinco told ESPN that his goal is that the people who buy tickets, the people who come to see the fight, I want them to go away and talk: I had my doubts about Ocho, but to see him enter the ring and know that someone was trying to kill him…. He put on quite a show. The big scoop will be that Johnson was defeated by knockout, but overall, he accomplished his goal. He enjoyed himself and performed better than many expected. I lost my virginity today, and it was fun, Johnson said. I think I’m ready for McGregor.

Torres wins again by knockout and moves closer to thetitle.

Future welterweight Jean Carlos Torres (left) stopped Zach Kuhn in the second round. Cliff Hawkins/Getty Images Junior welterweight challenger Jean Carlos Torres (18-0, 15 KOs) wants the title, and Sunday’s knockout victory over rookie Zach Kuhn (10-8-1, 5 KOs) can only help his cause. After a slow start in the first round, Torres went to work and knocked Koon down three times, including a left hook that forced the referee to stop the fight immediately in the second round. It was Torres’ first fight under the Mayweather Promotions banner after he signed a contract in September 2020. Undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor is likely considering moving up to 147 pounds to face WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford, fight unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez at 140 or defend his title against British challenger and mandatory challenger Jack Catterall. But lately, Torres has done enough to put his name among the title contenders. The 30-year-old Puerto Rican has won seven of his last eight fights by knockout. Four fights, four wins for Mayweather Promotions fighters on Sunday night in an unaired event.

Benton overtakes Cruz for fifth win

Lightweight contender Adrian Bento (left) defeated Pedro Cruz by unanimous decision of the judges. Cliff Hawkins/Getty Images It may not have been the performance some would have liked from Mayweather Promotions’ main challenger. But Adrian Benton got the job done. Benton defeated Pedro Cruz by unanimous decision of the judges (42-36, 42-36, 42-36) in a four-round lightweight bout. Benton had a lot of success in the beginning of the fight, but Cruz never gave up and was actually the aggressor by the end of the fight. Benton, 21, went the distance for the first time since his wrestling debut. Benton fumbled during the fight with the standup. He landed some great combinations in the first and second rounds. In the first fight, Cruz appeared to throw a right hand to Benton, but it was ruled a miss. Benton opened a dissection on Cruz’s right eye in the second round and was more active in the third and fourth, throwing harder punches, but Cruz was right at the end and pressured Benton. Benton (5-0), a Cincinnati native, has not fought since December 2019. Cruz (1-1), from San Jose, California, won his first professional fight in Mexico in 2019.

Hackett destroys Diaz by knockout in first round

Welterweight boxer Jalil Major Hackett easily defeated Angelo Diaz in his first pro fight. He knocked him out with several powerful combinations before taking him down and finishing Diaz after just 1:11 minutes in the first round. The fight didn’t seem to last long. Hackett, an 18-year-old boxer from Mayweather Promotions of Washington, D.C., started out aggressive and confident and wasted no time hitting Diaz to the body. But it was his kick to the head that stirred Diaz. The final shot is a powerful right that drops Diaz to the mat with no hope of victory until the 10 count. Diaz remained on the ground for at least a minute after the fight before being helped to his feet. Diaz, a native of Odessa, Texas, also made his professional wrestling debut.

Khan stops Gray in the second round

Dorian Khan Jr. needed about a lap to warm up. But after that, the serious one-way traffic began. Khan, in his first professional fight, outclassed Jonathan Gray throughout the second round and ended the fight with a technical knockout at 2:59 of the second round. Khan showed some hard combinations and Gray was stuck in the corner until the referee intervened and stopped the fight. In the first fight, Southern Khan bombarded Gray with combinations, using a good right hook and a left straight. But the hardest part came in the second round. Khan has really started to use his hands actively in combinations. He dropped Gray with a left uppercut to the body, and the same thing happened again as Gray got back up. Khan (1-0), an Arizona native, is a product of Mayweather Promotions. He’s only 18 years old. Gray (0-4), a Maryland native, has lost three consecutive fights this year after making his professional debut in 2020.Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul live results and analysis.
