Adobe Reader 2015
Adobe is making its little revolution in PDF reading. The venerable Reader, Adobe’s visualization tool, becomes Adobe Document Cloud, in the long line of the editor’s tools now available in Cloud mode.
Adobe Reader DC is intended to be a cloud-based EDM tool. Electronic signature, opening to other formats and modification of the scanned documents are available. Document Cloud must allow to manage the whole document workflow. Creation, verification, validation, signature and follow-up; all stages of the document life cycle are present. On the electronic signature side, it will be compatible with solutions such as Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Sharepoint, Salesforce.com, Ariba, and Apttus. But the real novelties are the integration of the tactile dimension and the possibility to modify the content within the scanned format.

The publisher delivers its quarterly security bulletin which contains no less than 98 patches. MySQL is involved first with 26 patches, followed by Fusion Middleware, supply chain Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, E-Business Suite, Database, Commerce Platform, Retail Industry Suite, Health Sciences Applications, JDEdwards EnterpriseOne, and Siebel CRM. The Java module offers 14 security patches, three of which score 10 on the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) scale, the highest severity level, allowing remote operation without authentication.
Oracle also points out that it provides the latest free Java 7 update here. From now on, patches for this version will be offered to customers with specific support contracts. A way for Oracle to encourage its users who have not yet done so to migrate to Java 8 (available since January) version 45.
