Don’t Breathe 2 Red Band Trailer Brings Out the Blind Man’s Brutal Side

Most of the trailers released so far have been fairly safe, but this one has taken things to a different level. The movie is about a blind man who loses his sight and uses a cane to go about his day, but this time around, he’s not acting. Instead, he’s showcasing his fight-or-flight instinct in one of the most brutal fight scenes we’ve ever seen.

The effective way of preventing yourself from being captured by the “dumb criminal” is to always know where he or she is, i.e. he or she is blind. However, the “blind” can be “caught” by the “smart” criminal, as a sequel to the 2014 Don’t Breathe makes clear. Directed by Fede Alvarez, the film, which opens in theaters on the 15th of October, is about a young girl, played by Stephanie Sigman, who is kidnapped by the blind criminal, played by Jane Levy.

In Don’t Breathe 2, the second installment of the horror movie franchise, the blind man with a budding career as a thief and burglar is back to one-up the previous entry in the series. This time, he has a new target, a young woman who has her eyes wide open and is an avid snoop.. Read more about blind man movie and let us know what you think.

Don’t Breathe 2 has received a new “Dark AF Restricted” red band teaser from Sony Pictures Entertainment. Following up on that description, the trailer reintroduces Stephen Lang as Norman Nordstrom, aka the Blind Man, who is once again targeted by house intruders, and he’s only grown more cruel since the previous film. The new trailer may be seen here, but be aware that it contains spoilers, including numerous death scenes.

“In Don’t Breathe, Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) was underestimated by everyone because of his blindness: he revealed an unflinching will to survive and get what he wants… but also a monstrous, evil side of his personality, as nothing – no person or conscience – will stand in his way… but also a monstrous, evil side of his personality, as nothing – no person or conscience – will stand in his way.”

Now, eight years later, in Don’t Breathe 2, Nordstrom lives with 11-year-old Phoenix, and he has rebuilt the family that was taken from him by a drunk driver, as well as the twisted justice he’s always believed was owed to him. When intruders return to his house, this time with a focus on Phoenix, Norman will expose what’s buried within him for the second time… in fresh and unexpected ways.”

Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote the first film with Fede Alvarez, directs Don’t Breathe 2. They also co-wrote the sequel’s screenplay, which Alvaraez produced with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert. Madelyn Grace, Brendan Sexton III, Adam Young, Bobby Schofield, Rocci Williams, Steffan Rhodri, Stephanie Arcila, Diana Babnicova, and Christian Zagia are among the cast members.

“It came out of a position of wanting to surprise ourselves and the audience,” Alvarez stated earlier of the film’s plot. “We didn’t want to make a sequel that was just “the same, larger.” We’re presenting a new tale, but the same issues apply: how does the audience feel about this guy and what he’s doing? It’s a puzzle, like any good thriller: every scene is a clue that you must piece together.”

He said, ” “We realized we could do something unique by taking the villain from a film and telling his narrative from the front seat – by making him the protagonist of the sequel. We felt it would be a lot of fun to give this man a chance, to go further into his life and character, and to tell his narrative of what occurred after the first film… We’re fleshing out the character, delving into his heart and soul, as well as his mind. What distinguishes this individual?”

According to Sayagues, going in a different creative direction also meant there was no need to bring back Jane Levy as Rocky. Alvarez also said that inviting Levy back for another horror production after Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe would be too much for the actress, who always gives her all in her performances. On Twitter, Levy stated that she had not been approached about returning, but that she would not be interested.

I don’t want to bring it up again, but it’s a bit amusing to have others choose the “best option” for me without even asking what I think or want…? However, @fedalvar is correct. I wouldn’t want to do Don’t Breathe 2, but that’s not because I’m a bad actor.
