I am a 21 year old female that has been dancing since the age of 3. I have taken every dance course possible. However, I recently discovered that I have an extreme amount of difficulty in understanding and performing a variety of dance moves. This is where I turn to the help of the Internet. I am hoping for a way to combat my severe dance anxiety and master the art of dance.

Everyone who has ever attended a formal dance will tell you that it isn’t easy—because it’s all about keeping in step. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. In fact, learning how to dance the right way—by listening to the music—can be a lot of fun, and you can have a great time doing it.

I have always loved to dance. It is a passion that I share with my sister. We are twins. I do not know why I love it but I do. I can’t tell you about everything that I love about dancing but I will tell you about a few things:. Read more about dancing in the streets and let us know what you think.

North County has begun hosting Concerts in the Park. On Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., Paso Robles hosts one in the Paso Robles City Park. Templeton has concerts in Templeton Community Park on Wednesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m., while Atascadero hosts concerts at Atascadero Lake Park on Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., except on September 11 when the performance will be held at the Historic City Hall in celebration of Patriot’s Day.

All concerts are open to the public and are free of charge. For the nights, bring a lawn chair (low ones for those who can get out of them!) and a jacket or sweater.

On Friday, Aug. 20, 6:30-9 p.m., along El Camino Real Atascadero will host Hot El Camino Nite as part of Cruisin’ Weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, September 17 and 18, the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis of Atascadero will host the 5th Annual Atascadero Charity 2021 Showdown Cornhole Tournament.

The Paso Ravine Water Park will host the Friday event, while the Atascadero Sunken Gardens will host the Saturday event.

This week’s dish is a bread pudding that will “travel” nicely, so why not make this wonderful “summer’s bounty” pudding for the concert-goers in your group?

Summer Pudding with Mixed Berries

16 thick slices of dense white bread 2 cups blackberries, fresh 2 cups blueberries, fresh 4 cups raspberries, fresh 1 to 112 cup sugar, granulated 12 cup liqueur de framboise ou raspberry syrup Garnish with more fresh berries

Wrap plastic wrap over the inside of a 2-quart ceramic mold. Remove the crusts off the bread slices and cut the remaining 12 slices into triangular halves and rectangular half. Arrange four triangles to cover the bottom of the mold, pushing them together a little to cover the whole area. Arrange rectangles on end along the inner edge of the mold, slightly overlapping. In a large saucepan, combine blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries with sugar and framboise or raspberry syrup. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring continuously, for approximately 3 minutes, or until the berries begin to break apart and the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside to cool for a few minutes. Fill a bread-lined pudding mold halfway with heated berry mixture (press down lightly with ladle after a couple of ladlefuls to force out any air pockets). Cover firmly with plastic wrap and the remaining 4 triangles of bread; put a strong paper or cardboard circle on top of plastic and press down with a 2-pound weight (a large jar of jam works well). Allow to come to room temperature before refrigerating and chilling overnight.

Remove the cardboard and untie the plastic wrap before inverting onto a plate or cake stand to serve. Around the dish, garnish with a variety of whole fresh berries. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
