Loneliness at the origin of all things
In this 2019 version, Audrey Plaza and Gabriel Bateman play the roles of Karen and Andy Barclay, a mother and her son at the end of difficult months. Seeing how difficult it is for her son to make friends, Karen decides to get a Buddi doll, produced by the Kaslan company, a real star of the stores. Although defective, the self-proclaimed Chucky fulfills his role by accompanying young Andy. Thanks to her, he later met Falyn and Pugg, his first two friends, played respectively by Beatrice Kitsos and Ty Consiglio. With her, they will sow terror, notably at Shane, Andy’s stepfather, played by David Lewis.
Technology as a weapon
Produced by Keslan, the Buddi doll can be connected to all devices designed by the brand. This ability will be one of the springs used by Chucky to commit his crimes.
Who says reboot sometimes says new voice, and it is Mark Hammil who lends his voice to the famous doll. After Star Wars and the Joker, the actor adds a new role to his wide range
The only hope to put an end to the doll’s actions are the good old methods and in particular a long investigation which will be led by actorBrian Tyree Henry in the role of Inspector Mike Norris, always ready to protect Doreen, his mother, played by Carlease Burke.
