Default Convert image to PDF

  1. Good morning everyone,
  2. I use a QReport / D6 in an app, it works, the customer asks me to print invoices in PDF to send them by email, the easiest I found (rightly or wrongly) to ask him to install PDFCreator on PC to redirect printing to PDFCreator and I in my app I control the folder and the name of the file to print from the registry.
  3. Is there a component (Free) to do without PDFCreator to print directly to PDF?
  4. I also have a document to edit with a table (lines and frames …) with very little data, I wonder if it should not be done with TImage to facilitate the presentation of the table, of course it must also be converted to PDF.
  5. Thank you for giving me your opinion

  1. it is possible to switch from Quickreport to PDF (without investing or installing anything). It just needs to find some sources (Nishita’s PDF) and some coding, more information in the Business Solutions/Business Intelligence/other/Quickreport forum starting point the address of the link on the source is unfortunately obosolite, it must be valid.

  3. It is not a component, just a unit to be integrated into a project.

But at the moment, it’s quite (very) related to FreePascal and Lazarus.

I’m looking to see if it can be adapted, but AMHA, there’s a bit of TAF!

  3. The code we’re looking at is pretty awful, in my opinion!
    :pleure:
  4. Finally, finally, I didn’t have too many elements to modify, I added the Zlib library to replace the zstream unit and the jpeg unit.

The seal code rotates with D7 (with D6 this should also be the case).

The only limitation compared to the FreePascal library is that GIF and PNG image formats are currently not supported (JPG, JPEG and BMP formats are currently supported). By downloading and adding the appropriate units, and a few lines of code, this limitation can quickly disappear.
    :zoubi:

The test project is also included.
    :)

  1. @Ph.B Nice work, insomniac?
  2. I had trouble expressing myself in my last post. The Nishita PDF component (2nd link) also does some kind of thing (conversion of an image to PDF) . I indicated that it could be directly usable with Quickreport (quoted in the starting post) because it is possible to get one image per Quickreport page.
