We return with another Community Focus. This week we have a very special guest. He is a content creator who is very busy streaming on Twitch and works as a community manager for Gamers First. He doesn’t need to be introduced, but introducing cool people is our thing.
Get to know VNogi.
Tell us a little about yourself and what brought you into the game.
VNogi: My name is Clifton King and I am interested in video games and pop culture. Anime, comics and artwork. My favorite superhero of all time is Spider-Man. The best iteration of this character is of course Miles Morales. For me, the game started when I was very young. I grew up in a tough neighborhood in the 90s, I had a pretty tough life as a kid, so I spent my days playing video games. One of the games I played endlessly was Super Mario Sunshine. I spent incredible hours with that game haha.
When did you start playing Destiny and why did you want to become an active member of the community?
VNogi : I was a big fan of Destiny long before it came out. In fact, I knew literally everything about the game, the mystery behind it, the imagery, everything, right down to the live commercial teasers. I was one of the many people who managed to be there on the day of the launch of the first beta. I am proud to still have my Dinklebot from the collector’s edition of Destiny 1.
One of the things that inspired me to become an active member of the community is the number of people involved in the game’s environment. The key moment that changed my life and made me take the leap into the game as a career choice was the first time SheSnaps hit me. It flooded me with so many emotions that I knew I had to stay a part of it.
I see you are a fellow community manager. Tell us about your work at G1 and what it’s like to be a CM.
VNogi : Actually, it’s the first time I’ve taken on such a role, and I was incredibly nervous at first. But the inspirational texts from Kenny, Hunter and Cody encouraged me to keep going. So I did my best and I did my best. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been able to continue without the strength and support of the organization and the community we influenced and reached. I really think I made the right decision by joining the team. I am passionate about the work we have done so far and the work we plan to do.
Well, let’s see what kind of guard you are. What was your favorite underclassman and weapon last season?
VNogi : I have to say I really like my Austringer with the opening shot, the acclimated balls, Eye of the Storm, with some masterpieces. 140 baby! As for the lower class, I’m so attached to the lower Arcstrider tree I can’t help it. I also do stasis, haha.
Tell us about your channel and the content we can find there.
VNogi: My channel really holds a special place in my heart. In the end, my chain and my community have the same value as a long-time family member or a childhood friend. I am very proud of my community. Some of them are the most sincere, genuine, caring and always willing to put themselves out there for anything, no matter how big or small. It is amazing what we have done together. The kind of content you can find on my channel is actually pretty neat. I’m involved in different projects on different channels, podcasts, collaborations, etc. All of my content revolves around exciting moments in the anime, game, and comic communities, as well as heavier topics like social injustice, equality in all areas, racism, LGBTQ+ rights, and more. My content will help you live, love, laugh, and grow. All in one, with a smile.
Looks like a good place to hang out. Where can we register?
vNogi: Just search for vNogi on any platform!
Anything else you want to add before we let you go?
VNogi: The last thing I would add is this: To all who see this: You are important. You are incredibly powerful, but you are also very deadly. It is normal to make mistakes. It’s normal not to learn from them and be better for the people who care about you. Work on your dreams, take the time to learn, enjoy and grow, and reassure your loved ones that you love them. Why would you do this? Well, because the mansion is useless if no one is in it.
Last but not least, I want to thank everyone who has supported and helped me in my business. Final words of thanks Bobby, you have done great things. You are amazing. Thank you so much for everything. Thank you for sticking with me.
Thank you VNoga for taking the time to share your story with us. Don’t forget to stop by her office to say hello.
We have more articles in Community Focus. If you know someone in the community who has an interesting story to tell, please let me know, as well as Dmg, on Twitter or in our forums
