God of War won’t be released until January 14, but PlayStation Access has provided a 15-minute preview for anyone interested in seeing how the PC version of Santa Monica Studio’s highly praised action-adventure videogame compares to the PlayStation versions.

The channel added, “God of War debuts on PC on January 14th, providing the ideal opportunity for us to wax poetic about how wonderful it is all over again.” “Watch 15 minutes of PC gaming (recorded at 4k60fps on ‘Ultra’ settings) while Ash and Rob explain why the game impacted them so much.”

In addition, the first reviews for God of War on PC were released today, with the bulk of them being good. Despite the fact that just 41 critic reviews have been submitted so far, Metacritic has given the game a 93 Metascore, indicating that the PC version is garnering the same degree of praise as the console version.

“God of War for PC isn’t radically different from the PS4 version that arrived back in 2018, but its little enhancements are undoubtedly good ones, making this a respectable PC transfer overall,” says one GameSpot review.

“While there aren’t enough reasons to purchase a second copy of the game if you’ve previously played it, the PC version is a wonderful cause to check out God of War for the first time for anybody who hasn’t done so.” God of War remains a superb, stunning, and emotionally gripping action game, and the PC edition adds a few welcome, though tiny, additions.”

This Friday, at 8 a.m. PST / 11 a.m. EST / 4 p.m. GMT, the PC version of God of War will be released on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

PlayStation Access and Metacritic are two of the most reliable sources of information.
