When I try to go to bnpparibas.net, I immediately get an error message from Firefox – Address not found. Firefox cannot find the server at www.bnpparibas.net. I get this message immediately, there doesn’t seem to be any attempt at all from my browser to reach the site.

At first, I just thought the site was having problems. But sites like websitedown.info all tell me the site is online. Also, on my sister’s computer, we can access the site.

I tried with Firefox and Internet Explorer with the same result. I use Windows XP and Avast as antivirus software. I have no problem connecting to other sites (or at least all the ones I tried to visit). I ran MalwareBytes and found nothing.

Any idea what’s going on? A virus? A setting in my anti-virus or browser (Adblock+ for example?)? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Thank you.

Good morning, sir,

I’ve had the same problem as MaleMan for the last 3.4 days.

Impossible to access the https://www.secure.bnpparibas.net/ website, whatever the browser (Firefox, IE)

On the other hand, I manage to access http://www.bnpparibas.com/ (extension .com) but when I click on access to the account, then private access and I am redirected to https://www.secure.bnpparibas.net/, there I get the error

Address not found

Firefox cannot find the server at www.secure.bnpparibas.net.

The only thing I can’t access is the BNP site!!!

I’m on XP and with Avast as an anti-virus.

Any ideas?

hello

with ccleaner follow the tutorial to the letter

launch ccleaner then

* Then click on Options ==> Advanced and uncheck the box

* Delete only the files, from the Temp folder of Windows, older than 24 hours

just pass the cleaner and the registry

restart the pc

Good morning, everyone,

Ditto for me … exactly the same symptoms ! I disabled my AVG 2013 free antivirus … my firewall (PCTools firewall+ )

I emptied all my browser caches (data, application, cookies … ) I cleaned up with ccleaner ….

I restarted the PC ( Dell vostro 1510 under XP Pro ) …still the same problem .

I tried again to connect to bnpparibas.net with chrome then firefox (v20 ) … always the same error :

under firefox : Address not found Firefox cannot find the server at www.secure.bnpparibas.net.

under Chromium: Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED) : Server not found

On the same network I have an ipad and another dell PC that I don’t have to worry about!

Any ideas?

Good morning, sir,

I still have the problem despite cleaning with CCleaner.

Reivilolavud, has the problem appeared since you updated your XP Pro (because I think it is my case)?

In my opinion, it comes from XP because I don’t have this problem on a PC running Vista.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to help us?

Thank you

Good morning,

if it is because of an update that restores the system to an earlier date, choose the update restoration point.

kozakos34 23:19 24/04/2013

Good evening everyone ! I’ve come across your forum for some time now, as I too have no more possibility to connect to bnpparibas.net. (I’m under XP Pack3, and Firefox)

While searching a little, I came across this link:

http://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/adr…our-de-firefox

Since I am on IPV6, I followed the corresponding procedure:

IPv6

Firefox supports IPv6 by default, which can cause connection problems on some systems. To disable IPv6 in Firefox :

  1. In the address bar, type about:config, then press Enter.
    • The warning page “Caution, danger! “ must appear. Click on I’ll be careful, I promise! to go to the “about:config” page.
  2. In the Searchfield, enter network.dns.disableIPv6
  3. In the preferences list, double-click network.dns.disableIPv6 to change its value from false to true.

and bingo, I finally have access to my account ! I’ll try with IE8, which didn’t work either.

I think the other protocols should work, too !

Here, hopefully I’ve helped ! Keep me posted!!

Well, it doesn’t work under EI like I expected ! I think we have to look for a solution from Microsoft’s side in the same style as Mozilla !

But since I don’t use IE, I’ll leave it to other hackers to figure it out ! @++

re,

for IE, you may need to contact BNP Paribas who will guide you through the Internet Options (Security, Confidentiality).

kozakos34 12h45 27/04/2013

To disable IPv6 on Windows XP :

  • Scroll down the Start menu (Windows taskbar) and choose All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt.
  • In the window that appears, type the following command: netsh int ipv6 uninstall
  • Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
  • Close the Command Prompt window.
  • Restart the computer!

I tried it, it works, I have access to the BNP site again with IE8

Same problem I tried everything recommended on this forum and nothing works. Luckily I have another computer at home, which runs on the same connection, same OS (WinXP) same antivirus and firewall (Avast + Comodo) and connects without any problem.

WARNING I notice that the solution of kosako34 on XP has resulted in the removal of 5 icons from the taskbar (including my firewall!).

The chris7141 solution on firefox doesn’t seem to have any drawbacks and I’m content with firefox for my BNP account.

So the global solution on XP without inconvenience remains to be found.

I don’t see any such drawbacks on my computer.

Maybe it’s something else that skipped the icons.

Good morning,

I couldn’t access my BNPPARIBAS and BP accounts either, no more system restore (white window), no more possibility to send emails even though I could receive them and other anomalies that had no link to each other Here is the solution I found and executed and it worked

Go to start => run => do these three lines one by one >

Solution :Code:

regsvr32 jscript

regsvr32 vbscript

regsvr32 /i mshtml

I hope it’s good for you, too.

Hello,

Until today I had the same problem as you and I passed by chance a cleaning software that I had downloaded one day and that I didn’t remember the existence of on my pc.

It’s called adwcleaner which got rid of a lot of s…..ries like unwanted toolbars, stubborn search engines (Ask not to quote him…) and other thorns in my foot;a full page report.

And there, Oh Miracle!!! I’ve recovered access to BNP (access to accounts and everything …) on Firefox and IE

. Try it and if it works for you, spread the word.
