Stranger Things The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Locke & Key… this year 2020 is looking good. Here is our selection of the series that will be released in the next twelve months.

The year 2020 promises to be rich in content and the various SVOD platforms, just like the TV channels, are unveiling the programme of celebrations. There will be something for everyone, here is our selection of upcoming series.

The series stamped BBC and by the creators of Peacky Blinder proposes to revisit Mr Scrooge’s famous Christmas tale. In three episodes, it promises a good dose of magic and fear.

The new Star Trek generation continues on its momentum and after Star Trek Discovery it is Picard who will invade our screens.  With Patrick Stewart still in the role of Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, it will take place twenty years after the Romulan conflict. Amazon trusts the writer of J.J. Abrams’ feature film to carry the project.

This comedy will plunge the spectator into the universe of a video game development studio. The 10 episode series was created by Rob McElhenney who also plays the lead.

Adapted from the Comic Books of Stephen King’s son Joe Hill, the series tells the story of three children who move in with their mother to Keyhouse, the family ancestral home. This extraordinary building is full of secrets and houses mysterious magic keys. Each one of them has a power.

It’s the first Star Wars series on Disney +. Already fully unveiled across the Atlantic, the first season will follow the adventures of a mercenary across the galaxy. Jon Favreau’s series features Pedro Pascal and is full of references to the saga on the big screen

Falcon and The Winter Soldier will open the Marvel productions ball on the small screen. Set after the events of Endgame, the series will focus on the adventures of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl have already been announced for casting and are expected to return to their roles as Agent 13 and Helmut Zemo. Disney should soon unveil the first images of the series and why not a trailer.

This year 2020 should hold some nice surprises and give us something to enjoy. Netflix seems to be going on the offensive and intends to unveil numerous productions to face the competition. While Amazon is quietly preparing for the arrival of its Lord of the Rings series, Apple TV + doesn’t seem ready to reveal the rest of its adventures. This year will be decisive in the war of the streaming platforms. In France, Salto should also make its debut in the autumn.
