I know it’s been a long time coming, but the crew at Blood Bowl 3 (of course) have announced that the game is coming in 2020. Publisher Nacon and developer Cyanide Studio announced today during the Warhammer Skulls Showcase that the full release of Blood Bowl 3 has been delayed until 2022. Instead, the game launches in Early Access later in September, but lucky players can try it out today, as the closed beta has already begun. The Blood Bowl 3 closed beta is available on Steam and features two new teams: The Black Orcs and the Imperial Nobility, as well as the Elves Union. Each of these three potential players focuses on different styles of play and uses different strategies to succeed. During the closed beta, players can build their own teams, explore new customization options, and compete against the AI or other players locally or online. Blood Bowl 3 takes over the ball pass ability from the last edition of the board game as well as the ability to jump over sleeping players. A new timer layout with bonus time additions, dice display, clearer skill icons and a simplified way to plan difficult moves are also among the features. To join the closed beta, you’ll need to register on the official Blood Bowl website and fill out a short questionnaire. Successful players will receive their Steam key by email. Blood Bowl 3 is scheduled for release in February 2022.
