If Biomutant sold over one million copies so quickly, it’s no doubt that it’s a game that’s worth playing. The game’s main appeal is that it is a hybrid of RPG and action game elements, and the campaign is incredibly entertaining thanks to the game’s charming tone and catchy writing.

Biomutant, an open-world, post-apocalyptic “Kung-fu fairytale RPG” developed by Stockholm-based Experiment 101, was published in May 2021. It enables players to create odd-looking, deformed animals and take them on adventures in a world populated with equally strange species. Biomutant is a tremendous success for Experiment 101, despite being their debut game.
Biomutant has sold over one million copies since its debut on May 25, 2021, according to parent firm Embracer Group’s Q1 FT21/22 interim report today. What’s more remarkable is how fast the game appeased its benefactors: Biomutant broke even only a week after its release.
“The release of Biomutant from our own studio X101 was the major revenue generator in the quarter,” stated an Embracer Group executive. “The game has sold over a million copies so far. A week after debut, the whole investment in research and promotion, as well as the cost of acquiring X101 and IP, was recouped.”
Biomutant was first shown by Experiment 101 during that year’s Gamescom event. This caused some to think that the game’s production had been difficult and that it would be released in poor condition, although this was clearly not the case.
Although the marketing materials for Biomutant include a raccoon monster wielding a large sword, Experiment 101 has said that this is not necessarily the primary character. As previously stated, gamers may morph their own hero in the game by using a configurator to tweak their DNA.
The game is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as Steam, GOG, Origin, and the Epic Games Store on PC.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the game Biomutant has sold over one million copies. The game was released in February, meaning that 1 million copies were sold in 8 weeks.
