Mehler’s Youtube video for class begins with him donning a mask and what seems to be a space or motorbike helmet.

He responds, “OK, here we are in Houston.”

He removes the helmet and mask, saying, “Let me take this off.” He says, “D***.”

“…This planet is causing quite a stir on the intergalactic internet. I’m not sure whether you’ve noticed, but breathing the air is quite harmful. Many of your specialists recommend wearing masks since a dangerous illness is spreading over the globe. Your civilization is disintegrating, and life on your planet is rapidly vanishing. Maybe you didn’t notice, but the amount of misery on our earth is skyrocketing.”

“In any case, welcome to the new season of my program, more bad news, given to you by Camel cigarettes,” he said. Doctors smoked Camel cigarettes when he was the pupils’ age, he added. He next showed a clip from an old television ad about physicians who favor Camel cigarettes.

“There you have it. So don’t trust all you hear about how harmful smoking is for you. For hundreds of years, Native Americans have smoked the holy leaves… They presented it to us when we came, and we turned around and promoted it to the rest of the globe…. Cigarettes are smoked by people all throughout the globe, and we did it too. It was one of American capitalism’s crowning achievements. It was always considered holy, sacred, and only to be shared on rare occasions by the Indians. We viewed it as a marketing opportunity, a chance to make a lot of money selling an addictive substance that would kill you.”

It was “pure capitalism, converting death into profit,” according to the report.

Mehler went on to say that the film was made to introduce himself to pupils before “we meet F2F,” or face-to-face meetings.

“Everybody knows,” the professor added, implying that “f*** to f***” truly means “we’re all f*****.”

“When you meet me next week, I’ll be wearing this helmet,” he stated, explaining that the $300 helmet has filters that protect “both me and you from this fatal virus that’s running around…” Now, I may have f***** ed my life, but now I stand before you beholden to no human c********* and doing a paid f***** union job.”

“No limber d******** of an administrator is going to tell me how to teach my lectures because I’m a tenured professor,” he said. To me, you’re simply disease vectors, and I don’t want to be near you, so maintain your f***** distance; if you want to speak to me, come to my zoom.”

Mehler then got into a lengthy debate over whether his introduction was plagiarized, revealing that it was based on a “Deadwood” episode. He showed a clip from the episode in which a character uses similar terminology.

He told them that plagiarizing might result in expulsion from Ferris, although he said, “I constantly urge my pupils to avoid being caught.”

Nothing would happen if he was discovered “for the phony that I am,” he claimed, before explaining that pupils should utilize correct sources and citations in their work.

Mehler went through his attendance and grading standards with the class.

“American colonies, particularly in the north, were formed by Christians who were primarily Calvinists of one type or another,” Mehler said to the students, “and the Calvinist ideology can be seen woven into American notions about justice.”

Calvin thought that a person was either predestined for salvation or damnation, and that the majority of people were selected for damnation, according to him.

“It doesn’t f****** matter if you attend to church or donate charity, your acts don’t count,” he said, returning to his grading criteria. That is how things are in my class. In my class, none of you c********** are good enough to get an A. So, before the first day of class, I award grades at random. I’m not interested in learning anything about you. I’m not even interested in learning your name. I just take a glance at the number and award a grade.”

Then, in response to an editorial article headlined “Republicans Cry Freedom While People Die,” FMehler read a letter to the New York Times A professor from another institution sent the letter after testing positive for COVID. Republicans and the university administration were singled out in the letter.

“Our scenario at Ferris is similar to that detailed in this letter,” Mehler added. “The only difference is that I’ll be 75 in March, whereas Covid has already killed one out of every 100 Americans over 60.” To put it another way, whatever you think of Covid’s risk, I live in a totally different environment. My danger is far higher than yours.”

He said that the pupils’ first project would be to summarize their experiences over the previous two years. He added in the past, children stated they didn’t want to “expose grandmother and grandpa to a sickness that might kill them” because they didn’t want to “expose grandma and grandpa to a disease that may kill them” during Christmas.

“Listen up folks, I’m old enough to be your grandpa, and you people are disease vectors to me, so when I look out at a classroom full of 50 students, I see 50 selfish… kids who don’t give a f*** whether grandpa lives or dies, and if you wouldn’t expose your grandpa to a possible Covid infection, then stay the f*** away from me,” he continued.
