At Ces 2020, Acer Unveiled Its Latest Computer, Monitor and Projector Innovations

At CES 2020, Acer unveiled its latest computer, monitor and projector innovations. This year’s highlights include the new Microsoft Surface like ConceptD 7, as well as the ultra-powerful ConceptD 700 tower and the Predator CG552K monitor with its 55-inch 4K OLED panel.

As every year, Acer takes advantage of the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas to unveil its latest computer and monitor products. In particular, the brand has lifted the veil on its ConceptD 7, a smaller version of its ConceptD 9 launched last year and reserved for creative people. The ConceptD 7 is based on the convertible concept of its predecessor, and features a 15.6-inch 4K panel, compared to 17.3-inch for the ConceptD 9. Convertible, since it can be used as a graphics tablet when the screen is folded down on the keyboard, and thus use the supplied Wacom DME pen. In addition to its original size, the machine is rather well equipped with its 10th generation Intel processor, 32GB RAM and 2TB PCIe SSD and Nvidia GPU. Another, even more muscular version, called “Pro”, has been added to the list. This one is equipped with an Intel Xeon processor. The basic Acer ConceptD 7 will start at 2499 euros, but the Release Date is still unknown.

For the less nomadic, Acer also offers a next-generation tower with its ConceptD 700: a no-compromise desktop PC, also dedicated to creative people. The ConceptD 700 is equipped with an Intel Xeon E processor, a Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000, 64 GB RAM and can be configured with a PCIe SSD of various capacities. Despite its monstrous configuration, it should prove to be perfectly silent with a design formed around three fans at the front. Acer thus promises a tower with a ventilation sound volume of no more than 40 decibels. The Acer Concept 700 will be available from March for a price starting at 1899 euros.

Since these machines will need to be connected to a monitor once they’re installed at a desk, Acer thought of everything and also unveiled an impressive 55-inch OLED and 4K gaming display called the Acer Predator CG552K, and no, despite its size, it’s not a TV. This exceptional monitor concentrates all the know-how of the brand with its 4K OLED panel at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, its brightness of 400 nits and its ability to display 98.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut. It supports both the technologies embedded on the latest AMD and Nvidia cards. The Acer Predator CG552K will be available at the end of the year for 2700 euros.
