ASUS launched ‘Pilot the Future’ for ASUS BR1100C laptop

ASUS has launched the Pilot of the Future program, which encourages continuing education for students from K-12, with the new ASUS BR1100C laptop that includes an additional education component. The launch was announced at CES 2021.

ASUS North America is continuing this campaign in select K-12 schools across North America. These schools will receive 30 ASUS BR1100C laptops to help students adapt to both distance and classroom learning.

The tech brand further explained that students see it as an opportunity when a teacher shares a video about what their school is doing to prepare students to work more closely together, both in person and at home. They should also highlight how laptops can improve student learning.

Based on registrations, ASUS will shortlist, which will be announced between the 5th and 22nd. The month of March will be marked by a public vote in which the schools with the most votes will participate.

The Pilot of the Future program has already started and the company is still accepting applications until the 26th. Applications will be accepted in February. The schools with the highest number of votes will then be announced on the 29th. March 2021 announced.

ASUS BR1100C – What do we know?

Let’s go to the most important part of the program – an ASUS BR1100C laptop. It is designed and developed for optimal learning for students who do not have sustainable resources to do so. It’s ASUS’ best learning tool, with educational features that make students more effective than ever.

It has an 11.6-inch screen and is designed for extended drops up to 47 inches. It is designed for children, so the entire edge of the laptop has a rubber pad and bumper to prevent it from breaking. The reinforced structure of the laptop is also scratch and splash resistant.

It has also been tested in numerous US military trials to verify its effectiveness and durability. A unique feature of this device is the ASUS BacGuard anti-bacterial keyboard frame, which inhibits the growth of bacteria to protect your child’s health.

The device also features a TÜV Rheinland certified screen that reduces blue light emissions, protecting the eyes of children who are constantly learning to use the device. It features an AI-controlled microphone with Noise cancellation and speakers for better intelligibility during video lessons.

Since connectivity and bandwidth are also important for students, the device features the latest 4GB connectivity and Wi-Fi 6 technology for optimal user interaction and wireless connectivity. The device comes with 128 GB eMMC and 1 TB SSD for higher storage capacity.

The device comes with a simple configuration, making it easy for IT administrators and educators to maintain. The modular design of the device is a plus, as it allows easy access to the main components of the device, including the keyboard, battery, and display.

The ASUS BR1100C is also equipped with a separate LED indicator on the cover, which allows instructors to check the student’s laptop and determine if there are any issues with the device’s connection and battery.

Prices and availability

The ASUS BR1100C is expected to be available in North America in the first quarter of 2021. The price of the device has not yet been announced.
