What is error 87A0006 DXGI in Apex Legends?
This is a bug that many players encounter who have downloaded the game through Origin. The bug is essentially an engine error that occurs mostly to people with NVIDIA RTX cards. But some AMD users also have this problem. This is the error message
Motor error 87A0006 – DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG The application device failed because incorrectly generated commands were sent by the application. This is a design time issue that needs to be reviewed and corrected.
The problem is that the screen completely freezes when you are in the game. And no matter what you do, the game doesn’t respond at all. The only option you have is to close the game via Alt+Tab or force it to close via the task manager.
It’s actually a big problem for people who play in secret mode. If a player leaves the game after entering a graded game, they must receive an in-kind penalty, which is usually a reset. And that’s something nobody wants to see.

Here are the steps to fix bug 87A0006 in Apex Legends
Download the latestNvidia GeForce Game Ready driver v442.19
Nvidia has already released a driver optimized for season 4 of Apex Legends If you have Geforce Experience just run it and you will see that there is a new update available. However, if you are not using GFE, here is a link to the driver:
Restore game
You can repair your games in the Origin application. This will allow you to download the missing files and fix some problems.
Learn how to fix your game here:
- The origin of the departure
- Click on the My Game Library button.
- Select the upper part of the legend
- Click on the Settings icon
- Select a repair
The whole process takes about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the equipment. When everything is ready, simply restart your computer.
Full reinstallation of the game
Although I mentioned this step last time, this is the first one I took. I completely reinstalled Apex Legends and then followed the steps above. Therefore, I recommend that you perform the two steps above first and then proceed with the move.
